No, she was explaining that she had to make a choice, Ginny was going to be killed or save Bill from Greyback. She chose to save Ginny and she was concerned for Bill. I reread the sentance, I can see how I wrote it it would come across that way. Hope I didn't freak you out! There is actually going to be more Ginny in the story later. Alissa will grow to have a great deal of respect for her.Yes! Snape has seen the light! It's a whole new ballgame now. :)Livvy

Too bad he's so hung up on Lily that he never saw that Alissa was his soul mate from the first time she met him in her first year. It was obvious to her from the beginning.I always thought Rowling's reasoning was faulty when she made him still hung up in Lily when he told Dumbledore always. I feel that he would have gotten over her long before that and what drove him to spy for the order and to protect Harry was guilt. He felt that he was to blame for her death and wallowed in the guilt for 17 years. He used his old crush for her as a sheild to keep anyone, especially a woman, out because he felt so unworthy of being loved. It distorted him so much that he couldn't see how normal and wonderful it was to take pleasure in giving Alissa pleasure. He felt he was betraying the guilt he felt over Lily's death, when what his sub conscious was really trying to do was move on with his life. Lily wasn't worthy of his devotion anyway. He tried to apologize for saying something he didn't mean but she wouldn't accept it. She was unable to see that he lashed out in the heat of the moment and never meant to hurt her. He would have lashed out at anyone who came near him at that moment, but she never understood that. Lily had betrayed him by never being friendly with him again. If she had forgiven him and continued her friendship with him I think he would have come to accept that she loved James, but that she would always love Severus as a dear friend and his life would have been different.It was really her loss, not his and she was the cause of his decision to become a Death Eater. I'm not a Lily lover, I much prefer Alissa.

I agree, I'm no a Lily fan. I think she was a real bitch to Severus and he deserved much more. I think it was her rejection that drove him to Voldemort.THat's why I want to write ALissa. I always thought Severus needed a strong, vital, take no prisoners kind of woman. Like Bella, but sane. Someone who could be his equal in every way. I hope you continue to like how I go with this!Livvy

I am too. I do LOVE SS/HG and have written two ships, but I can't resist the plot bunnies of these OC's. I'm glad you like Alissa. She is definately the toughest OC I've ever written. Also, FYI, as a big SS/HG shipper, my next fic after this is called "Bookends" and it is my (and I think original) take on the forced marriage challenge. I hope you will check it out!Livvy

This was wonderful, you showed a side of Snape that I've never seen before. Both he and Alissa are very appealing and I'm looking forward to more about them.
Please don't make this your last Snape/OFC, you write the far too well to desert them for the chliche that is SS/Hermione. Emma Watson makes her appealing, but Rowling wrote her as a know-it-all pain in the butt and niether the young nor the adult Severus would be attracted to a know-it-all pain in the butt.There is a lagre group of Snape/OFC fans in Potter fandom and we want stories written for our favorite pairing too.

This is a great idea for a story, I like the thought that someone was as obssessed about him as he was about Lily. Even moreso, I like that she is an OFC. She comes across as tough and she can be mean and cruel. he may be her soft spot, but I'll bet she can handle him at his worst and give back as good as she gets

I know, I am fast becoming a real lover of the SS/HG ship. I think this may be the last OC I create. After finishing this, I started on my next HG/SS fic with a vengence! Oh my gosh.
I missed this chapter.
Livvy, you rock. Okay, I'm annoyed because I thought for a minute you were going to let Alina clean up JKR's mess and save Tonks and Remus and now I'm clearly at least half wrong so....
But this is a really strong final battle. I am facing writing my own soon and I'm very intimidated by it, and you've done a marvelous job!

Thanks for the wonderful words! I tell you, it took a lot to do this chapter. I am not a big "action-adventure" writer, especially "action". So, I really had to get in touch with my inner warrior and just let it flow. It is so easy with an OC to get into "Mary-Sue land", so I wanted her not to be the one who does it all and saves everyone.As for Remus, I had my reasons for saving him and not Tonks. In my A/N's at the end of the fic I will explain why.Thanks for reviewing. I'm sending lots of good Muse vibes your way. CoMC is just far to powerful to stop now.
