I like the way you write. I like this fic. It's sweet. The only part I didn't like was the flashback, because I find it is more a TV resource than a novelistic one, but that it's just me beeing picky and anal retentive.
All in all, I do enjoy your fics and one shots a lot. I'm currently following This Present Darkness with delight.
Great story!
Sweet and to the point yet there was a lot of suspense for a while.
The existence of two Snapes, who go by the name of Severus gives the story an interesting twist.
I rather liked your Sinistra,so it’s nice to know that she gets a Snape of her own

I'm not entirely sure I haven't already reviewed this somewhere else already, but if I haven't, more fool me - I really love this story, and it's one of those stories where I really can imagine the atmosphere and scenes as they unfold. Hell, I even liked Sinistra! Loves it :)

My apologies, Kizzy darling, for being tardy in my response to your most recent update -- and thank you for providing a very satisfactory ending to the story (since I for one was dying to know the real story behind the misunderstanding and how they were able to resolve it). You sly thing! I certainly wasn't expecting that the solution to the puzzle would be an uncle for whom Severus was a namesake -- nor that Severus's use of Hermione's first name was deliberate yet not part of a scheme as such (and since he lied to Hermione when she asked him about it, there was no way for the reader to pick up on his motivation). The only comment I might make is that it's not entirely clear why you said what you said in response to one of my previous reviews, that a lot of the misunderstanding boils down to a difference between Gryffindors and Slytherins -- that Severus and Hermione seem to be so firmly entrenched in the mindset of their own House that they're using it to interpret the actions of the other even though that person does not belonf to that House. That being said, however, it was fairly clear that Severus was engaged in a plot of some kind since plotting comes as naturally to Slytherins as breathing...!

Again, I must apologize for the delay in this chapter-- I had a bit of a RL crisis which took me out of this wonderful little world for a while. I am so glad you liked the last chapter! I simply had to give them a happy ending. As for he differences between the Gryffindors/Slytherins, I think that is firmly part of what makes sshg such a fascinating couple. Because they are so much a part of their own houses and interpret everything from their own *stubborn* views. And though I did not explicitly describe this, I believe that astute readers (such as you, my dear!) will pick up on this. As for the plotting, well, yes... Our Severus does like his plotting, doesn't he? Again, thank you so much for your insights. My beta is wonderful-- but she herself is not a sshg shipper *gasp* so your insights have helped me with my story. Thank you!!!! ~kizzy

I just wanted to let you know how much I love this story. I have developed my own theory (probably wrong) as to Severus' situation with Professor Sinistra. I won't post it because it is probably completely wrong. Please get the next chapter posted soon. Great story.

I was kind of right. I thought he was helping plan Sinistra's wedding with a mutual friend. Not an uncle. I was close though. Excellent chappie. I was so happy when I woke up and found that this story had been finished.

Hi Kizzy,Great start. I'm on edge ... Who is getting married? Does Hermione have a chance with Severus? Why is Severus so happy? I agree with the reviewer who said that its nice to see Severus relaxed and happy and getting along with a colleague -- but MiaMadwn is right -- it hurts to see him not with Hermione :(. Please fix, all powerful author!RRPS I loved In the Dark ... great twist and gut wrenching ending.

Hi Again, Wow, I'm glad to hear you like my reviews. I always seem to get carried away and write a lot. Very glad to hear the second chapter is on the way. You know I was teasing you over on Ashwinder, right? I just couldn't resist, but I forgot to add *taps toe impatiently* to round out the comment. But writing that made me realize I hadn't left you a review and it seemed unfair of me to complain. I will tell you that after I read the first chapter of Misunderstood I checked around at some of the other sites to see if you'd posted an un-beta'd or early version ... I was that eager to see what happens. I did wonder if Severus is trying to make Hermione jealous, but abandoned that idea. Slyterinesque (worthy of Lulabelle's Severus in AUM, ala Beautiful Plan) but somehow not his style.I'm intrigued that your beta is "coming over". ! After I wrote this, I thought to myself, Hermione, brilliant girl that she is, could simply Scourgify herself. I almost took that part out actually, but left it in. I'll explain it like this-- Hermione was too upset to really think, and wanted to get out of the Great Hall away from the boys and the sight of Snape at the high table. She saw an opening and took it. Thanks for reviewing!

Poor Hermione! But uh oh! Now she'll have to face Ron and Harry when she gets back to Gryffindor Tower and possibly have to explain. Poor Ron though getting her emotional frustrations taken out on him. Though I suppose that it how it goes. Can't wait to read more!~Emily

I like seeing Severus having a friendly relationship with one of his colleagues - though Hermione obviously doesn't feel the same way! Ron and Harry are quite funny here. Good story so far!

Well, this one gets me where I live.I've come to realize that nothing twists the knife in my heart like this. It's not the idea of Severus with another woman, but Severu relaxed and happy as we've never seen him with another woman. I feel Hermione's pain.And trust that things are not as they seem.Looking forward to your next chapter!

I just had to finish reading the story before I posted a review. I loved the story. During the first chapter, I felt so bad for Hermione, it was almost painful to read. I really like your work. Now off to see what else you've written. Thanks for the great story.
