This is a great story!

I just started reading today and I have thoroughly enjoyed the story, which I hope is not over yet.

Hooooo! *shiver* Poor Severus! *sob* I can't believe he had to go through all that. *sniffle* He had to live without her. . . he couldn't find her. . . oh, that is just heartbreaking. But he became friends with Lily and James and Remus! (I left out Peter for obvious reasons.) GOod for him! I loved the 'leviocorpus' there at the end of the graduation ceremony. ooooo-- did you have to leave it there--  I love that they are back together, I wonder why she couldn't keep her ring into the future.  I guess it wouldn't make sense though really.

I think you have explained Severus' reasons for joining the Deatheaters very well, even though Hermione asked him not to. It is very plausible... as are all of Severus' actions since Hermione returned to the present time.

How sad for Severus!  I have really been enjoying this story, and this chapter was particularly bittersweet.

A happy yet sad chapter, you pulled it off quite nicely.  I think it's wonderful that the changes were for the better, James and the Marauders wound up being friends, his love for Hermione kept him from being totally evil (yes, he joined the D.E.'s but didn't do it blindly) and there is a good chance that there will be a happy ending for those involved. Excellent.

So you did answer questions! That's good! But he should've jumped her bones up on the hill, frig the tea and chairs and whatnot. Why'd he have to make her look in the Pensieve? My chest got all tight, like hers must've. It's like, "Here's my pain, now you feel it too!"

I like "your" Severus! I'm a sucker for young Sev anyway, and this has been....yum.

Really good is that you didn't make him all romantic, despite my earlier comment above. His calculating mind wants to know why she did what she did, exactly. He's not just going to blindly hope/believe anything without concrete answers. That actually was very good thinking on your part, and sometimes, I think I discard that "real" Severus in favor of what I want him to hear. Bravo for sticking to the true man.

Maybe the last chapter made me all emotional, what with the picnicking and all. But now, I'm just in tears! He kept the stirring rod! Isn't that the silliest thing to cry over? Ohhh...

Ok I've said that before but I love her being there for him...I was as shocked as her at his asking for her hand! Oi... we are getting close now. I like that you are showing Hermione connect her normal Hogwarts years to the earlier Hogwarts years. Severus' behaviour and comments made when she was younger versus when he was younger.

Funny how the truth always seems to slip out when emotions are running high. I like the friendship between Madam Pomfrey and Severus. it seems to forshadow all the times he is in there as an adult too.

What a sweet, insecure young man the younger Snape is. makes you wonder how someone like that could turn to such darkness.
