I know I am odd. I know there is something not quite right. Something missing. When I look in the mirror, I don’t see myself. I see only a reflection of the man I ought to be.
I don’t see the face of a killer.
The man appears to be just another standard regeneration. But when medical practitioner Hermione Granger takes a closer look, she finds that not all is as it seems. The resurrection has not gone to plan.
He doesn’t remember a thing.
Now, in a fight against time, Hermione must help him recover his memory before the Ministry proclaim him a lost cause.
There is only one problem. The man is Severus Snape, her former professor. And there are some things she believes that are best left forgotten.

DHW (definition): more commonly described as pale and uninteresting. Possesses a modicum of rather dry wit. Appearence usually resembles something that has been dragged backwards through a few hedgerows. Intelligent, though not brilliant. Officially employed as junior Mad Scientist, complete with minions. Answers to many names. A current member of the Ministry of Bugger-All-Better-To-Do.

Thank you. I took a writing class a few months ago, back when I was writing this for the Exchange, and they told me that keeping things short and simple was the best way to build suspense. It seems to have worked. :)I hope that you will enjoy the rest of the story.
And I wonder if the thoughts of his angel bleeding are hints toward a future arc...

Maybe *tries to look mysterious but fails miserably* :)
Beautiful. I can't help but find in the last sentence, though, a sense of foreboding.

Thank you.
I really like how poetic this is. Very pleasing to the artistic senses. I hadn't read the first two chapters until I admined this third one, and I was impressed enough to go back and catch myself up! Well done, and I look forward to more!

I'm glad that you liked it. I really enjoyed writing these chapters. And thank you for taking a look at this chapter. :)
I am intrigued yet amazed that in any story Hermione would not use her wand first and ask questions later, especially at this point in her life. Anyway, I will keep reading to see how it goes.

Hopefully, the next chapter will provide the answer. :)
This is a great fic so far! The premise is intriguing, the insights into the proto-Snape's mind fascinating and poetic to read. I look forward to seeing more from you!
