Harry Potter's always been normal, right? I mean, nothing 'weird' or 'unnatural' ever happens to him. So why would I change anything? Vampires, Death Eaters, children, almost-death, and Hogwarts' resident Potions Master are all included in Harry's new, 'normal' life. (Severus/Harry with Harry as the sub to Severus' dom, but not BDSM.)

My name is Akalei Kanakele Kahookele (Ah-kuh-lay-ee Can-uh-kelly Kuh-ho-oh-kelly). I currently live in Utah, USA. I received an Associate of Science degree in May 2011 in English - Creative Writing. I'm married a great guy that I met at college in our freshman year. He's a Computer Science major. He's a great guy, but he's mine. So you can't have him. He graduates May 2013.
I have decided to discontinue posting on this site due to personal reasons. I have my fics posted on other sites, mainly Forever Fandom (http://www.foreverfandom.net). What I have posted already will remain. Thank you for reading and reviewing as you already have in the past. I appreciate all your support.

I'm afraid to comment lol.Actually, I enjoyed the first chapter and I'm willing to see what happens next.

Never be afraid to comment. I've learned by commenting and taking people's comments that it's one of the best ways to grow and learn as a writer AND a reader.Thank you for your review, and I'll try to get the rest of the chapters up ASAP.~dpa06~
Hot stuff!Don't worry, it was worth waiting for. I really like that Severus can be pushed over the edge of self control. It'll be good for him to break the iron control he has had to maintain for most of his life. I do hope that Harry will request/demand to know Severus' vampire history (in more detail than a little bit ) but then you already know about my thing with back stories.

Thank you for waiting. I am currently making corrections to the first chapter of Countdown so it may be posted, and then I will submit the second chapter so you can read all of that as well. It's a two chapter ficlet, HPDM, mostly PG-13. I think I mention a few cases of sex, but never describe anything. And I will follow that up with my fic called Happy Anniversary, Harry! which is another HPDM, but that has a kinda explicit beginning and ending. Anyways, thank you so much for reading and reviewing and sticking around with me. I appreciate it very much.~dpa06~

Hi, it's just me. Still hanging around. Hope you can update soon, just in time for Halloween would be great! However, RL is nearly always going to interfere. *Sigh!*Really like this tale.

To tell you the truth, I completely forgot about this site. RL did get in the way, and things have only gotten more complicated. I'm getting married in May, and I'm in college, and so many other things. However, that doesn't excuse what I've done here. Allow me to rectify that by tonight. Thanks for hanging around and sending me a reminder. Reviewers like you make writers like me keep writing. The more someone hounds me, the more I write and update. Don't ever think you're being a pest or anything. I promise, it's more helpful to bug me than to give me space. I usually update very week on the weekends. If I'm late, give me nudge okay? Thank you SO much! ~dpa06~

Really like the "How to Be a Vampire" lessons. Always thought there had to be some kind of an owner's manual that comes with the fangs. And of course the original questions are still hanging there. Who is Severus' sire? Is he/she good or evil? Do they ever come for a visit? Do they take vacations together? Who does the voice Snape's head belong to? Is there anyway of this for the Wizarding world's Dynamic Duo? I have too many questions. I think I'll hang around.

I SO love thought out reviews. Don't get me wrong, a quick "Your story rocks!" is always a pick-me-up. But reviews that make me think, make me write better, are my favourites! I have always thought the same. I mean, I know babies don't come with instruction manuals, but there are people there to help you. So, there should be something similar for vampires and other things like it. That's my thought anyways. You know, I never answer that question. Who is Sev's sire? Hmmm... And please, keep your questions coming. I love to read and answer them. Thanks for reading and reviewing. ~dpa06~

Your questions are amazing! I want you to keep asking them so I can create a side story to your satisfaction. Maybe his sire could just 'pop by' in my little one-shot. Hmm... So many ideas! Please, keep questioning! However, no, that doesn't happen in this story. And the voice in Severus' head is just his conscious. Nothing interesting there really. Thanks for reading and reviewing! ~dpa06~

Okay, it's an interesting idea but I've always had a "thing" for vampires. Of course the first thing that leaped to my mind was the back story, there has to be a back story. Who was his sire? Just how old is he anyway? I guess he can teach during the day because his classes are in the dungeon. Why didn't he wake Harry up and ask him first, gie him a choice? But then again no, better not. Potter would probably argue himself to death, literally.

I knew it! I'm not the only one who has weird questions and doesn't just acept what a writer gives them! I always have questions that I want the answers to, but I rarely ask them. My friend, who is also a writer, told me once that what's not given in the writing isn't going to be given. It's meant to not be known, or to be imagined. Sadly, I don't believe I came up with a history for Severus. Hmmm... Short one-shot side plot maybe? Well, that's an interesting idea... Thank you for reading and reviewing! ~dpa06~

Wasn't too thrilled about the first chapter, but now I find myself quite intrigued. The set-up is pretty interesting, and I kind of like the Snape/Harry dynamics. Keep going...

Yeah, the Prologue is kinda short. I did that on purpose. Actually, I started writing this chapter on the one where Harry begs Severus not to go, which isn't for a few chapters yet! But after I'd started, I decided I wanted to specifically state the backstory rather than refer back to it and hint at it and whatnot. Thanks for your honesty, because frankly I agree with you on the most part. I like Harry's defiance in the Prologue, but I agree it's not the same calibre as the other chapters are/will be. Thanks for the review,

I think Harry is acting as he would in canon. He never did like or trust Severus and it is following into this story, he argues, distrusts and punches Severus.
Response from darkpyroangel06 (Author of The 'Normal' Life of Harry Potter)
Yeah, for a little while Harry is cannon. Not for very long though. And Severus isn't in cannon, I don't think. I tried, but whatever. That's one fo the beauties of fanfiction writing, ne? Thanks for the review,
