i've had eclairs on the brain lately, so of course your summary caught my eye. quite a delightful story. i was surprised by lucius coming from out of left field to nab the last one, and apparently so were they. thanks for a good laugh.

This was scrummy!  Lots of great lines, too, including "about the length of Miss Granger’s fingers and about the girth of Mr. Snape’s," though I notice you don't actually specific Mr. Snape's what.

I can't remember if I reviewed this on LJ, but in any case, it can't hurt to say again that I love this piece!  You have a great authorial voice, droll and erudite at once, and the descriptions of the food are (of course) enticing.

Now, of course, I have a wicked craving for a well-made eclair...

OH, wicked! Lucius snatched at the opportunity whilst Severus and Hermione were otherwise occupied. This is delightful. Kinda sounds like they may have continuing problems from this Simone character -- a sequel perhaps wherein Mr. Snape, Mr. Malfoy and Miss Granger convince him to leave well enough alone?
