This is a touching little tale, but I'd caution you against the usage of "Hermione said silently" (fifth paragraph from the bottom). Overall, I liked this, however.

Poor Severus. At least he now knows that one person was thinking of him. I am surprised, though, that the professors didn't give out valentines to each other, especially Dumbledore.

this was a really sweet story. you struck a nice balance between humor and emotion. the image of him catching the rose in his hands as he brought them up to throttle the owl delivering it was priceless. and i liked that snape didn't destroy, but kept, all the roses that were delivered to his private quarters. i very much look forward to reading the sequel!
