I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.

Sorry, had to think for a moment and ponder the mysteries. I don't really see it as rape as much as abuse. The detachment, his lack of attention to her yes, it could be squeakie-- but at the critical moment, he registered BABY and thats the difference, IMO. The chapter and the story would not be the same if it were all hearts and flowers. Snape is a snarky, dark, bastard most of the time and I don't think this would be OOC for him, especially in light of his early years. If I could only wrap my mind around how to right a story with him getting Lily. . . hmm good stuff here, even if dark. And as for tender love making (gagging here) just read the earlier chapters, it is all there honest. Are you in the queue yet?

I really like the interesting progression that is showing here with Severus. His obsession may be developing along with his possessive nature and that can be trouble.On a more critical note (since you asked), I liked that you showed the changes in Severus's behavior sexually, but I would've liked to read the scene where he was gentler with Diana. It was hard to read the semi-rape scene and, although the description of his reformed bedroom behavior redeemed him a bit, it might've been more effective to "show" rather than "tell" what happened between them later on. Just a thought...

Pretty smart there Harry. But what to do able Severus' behaviour? I'm not sure its love he is feeling but she might have fallen for him. If Severus doesn't straighten up then maybe Harry would be a better option for her.

Not out of character. I can see that. Now that I've had time to recover--I'm really glad that Fleur is one who sees the truth. As much fun as it is to Fleur-bash, she proved her mettle after Bill was attacked by Greyback. (I thought that was one of JKR's more lovely reveals.)
I am also quite impressed by what you did with Harry, and the conclusion he has come to. Ouch.
Things are so tense, and I am eager to know what is going to happen when she makes it clear she's not going to tolerate his behaviour.
And a bit worried.

This chapter was brilliant. The way the Weasleys handled the whole thing. I could see it happening just that way. I really don't think Harry and Ron could handle the truth about how Severus and Diana got together. And the A/N, man you are such a tease. Now you have to update soon Please. Oi, wowzers! So Snape couldn’t face the Weasleys? That just seems so out of character for him. I don’t see him as the back down kind of guy. It’s going to be interesting to see how everyone reacts to him now that he showed up late!

Well, actually Diana said her "intended" was angry that she wanted to come alone to tell them her news. Snape wanted to come with her and she refused. He wasn't to show up at all, per Diana'a request, but came anyway when he felt something was going on- and he was right, Harry was on his way to kick some ass.

What's it to Harry anyway? Why is he so upset? Him I don't understand. But the rest, yeah that so sounds like the whole lot. Awesome chapter.

Remember when Molly was talking about how they were all related, Harry focused on Diana's relation to Sirius? He started to think about how he could have that connection to Sirius again- nevermind the fact Diana never even knew Sirius- it's about Harry's need to hold on to Sirius. It of course is not rational, but Harry has never been rational where either Sirius or Snape were involved. So his "overreation" says more about his anger that is unresolved towards Snape and his need to grasp onto any and everything he can that will remind him of Sirius.
Hope that clears some of that up for you.

Well, yes, therein lies the rub! He has his own witch and now he's going to start overstepping his boundaries with Snape's witch. And that is not going to go over well with Snape! But it will be in an unconscious way. Nothing deliberate. Harry is just going to continue to be irrational where Diana is concerned, because of Sirius. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this story. I was looking at your author's page, wondering if extra chapters of "Longing" were on another site and decided to try one of your other stories. Fabulous story, I was little worried about the outcome at points, but it all worked out and in a believable manner. I sometimes read stories and think that Snape is at times a little too much like Darcy or Brandon for my liking. So I like your Snape, complicated and damaged, but wanting to be better and trying to change, but change like that takes time, which means parts of the story are difficult to read. Sorry, I'm rambling. I loved your story, thanks for writing it.
