This was gooood... Satisfying, even. Very satisfying.I've read hundreds, maybe thousands of fanfics, and after a while you just get so used to hearing of how Hermione has suddenly become this stunning beauty, with shiny curls, and perfect skin and so on. And I really have a hard time imagining Hermione that way. She's a hardworking girl who cares so much more about books and knowledge than beauty. I think if Hermione really was as gorgeous and perfect as too many fanfic-writers portrait her as, she would be more likely to be friends with Lavender and Parvati, rather than Ron and Harry.You really nailed the characters! All of them. No one seemed OOC, and that quite difficult to achieve. I'm very impressed. One thing, though; Severus mentioned that 'her friend Weasley had decided to marry Lovegood a few years later', yet later Hermione mentioned that she would see Lavender at the burrow. Did Severus remember wrong? Are we discussing different Weasleys? Or did Ron divorce Luna and marry Lavender? Tell me! Tell me!

*hangs her head in shame*Sorry, dear, but it was/is simply a mistake I made. Initially, I had Ron marry Luna, but in other/later stories, I always paired him with Lavender and Neville with Luna. Obviously, I forgot to change that bit in this story, although I should have done it, as there is a sequel to it. Thanks for telling me - I'll fix it!Oh, and thanks for your lovely review! I, too, think Hermione isn't the perfect beauty. Still, Snape loves her ;-)
Awwwww this is so very heartfelt. I can just see Hermione being the odd friend out. I am glad she could find happiness with Severus.

Sweet, sweet story!!! I really like it when Severus really gets what he really deserves. He is such a lovable curmudgeon, with a heart of gold - that's how I've always thought about Snape since having read "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." And you have captured him perfectly.Beth

Thanks! I have big problems to see him as the twisted, cold-hearted basterd he seems to be in so many fics. I don't like them too much, I must admit. There is nearly always a happy ending in there if I write the story...
