I picked up the Harry Potter fandom around the time the first movie came out and began writing fanfic early 2005 after discovering the adult online community. I identify most closely with the Slytherins and you will see my taste in writing lends me to writing about Slytherins more often than not. In addition to fanfiction, I also make fanvids on the Harry Potter fandom. I'm a Perfect Imagination acredited beta and am willing to help authors. My main 'ship interests are Snape/OC (never really got into the SS/HG pairing) and LM/any female (with HG as a new favorite). I have dabbled in RL/OC and RL/NT and am okay with those pairings. I generally shy away from slash, just not my thing. For updates on my writing, check out my Live Journal

I'm not sure I've read too many MarySue stories before but after this one I think I will go in search of them because was really good. Thanks for writing it.

Thank you. I have found that there are some very good OC fics, but they just don't seem to get much attention. I've written one that I'm proud of, but can't tell any more at this point.

It took me a little while to get that this was very early in Snape's teaching career, rather than returning after Slughorn was Professor in the HP books, so I was a little confused at the beginning because of my own stupidity! Once I got it together, this was great! It says that it's incomplete, though. Is it going to be continued?
Author's Response: Ah, sorry that wasn't entirely clear. I did think I set that up early on, but perhaps not enough.
This is intended to be complete, just a little snippet at an infatuated student. :D Especially since folks tend not to care for OC centric fics.
That was such a sweet story, LOL. Well-written and entertaining despite the Mary Sue/OC theme. This scenario is a fangirl's dream come true! =) Thanks for writing it.

LOL I'm glad you enjoyed it through the Mary Sue bit. And while we weren't told to use his POV as well, I really thought it adds something to it. It's not often we are told to write this sort of fangirl dream. LOL
I really liked this. It was cute.

Thanks. It's nice to see folks enjoying this little Mary Sue tale.
Teenager to the bone that one. I liked that it's not a directly recognisable name from someone's past, although I am wondering if she's perhaps related to Roger Davies...?
I was amused. :)
Response from phoenix (Author of Career Counseling)
I'm so glad I was able to channel teenager so well. I'm far enough removed from that that it was a little difficult. Honestly, I chose Davies as a relatively common name, but it is possible she is Roger's aunt or cousin or some such. :D And glad you enjoyed it.
It was brilliant of you to use a character very close to his age; it's a rarely-written idea. It makes you wonder....
Response from phoenix (Author of Career Counseling)
Thanks. :D I really enjoyed this idea. It would have been so easy to do it when he was older, but I liked the idea of having it be one of his former housemates who knew him as a student. I just started thinking about how hard it would be for him those first couple of years where some of his students had either witnessed or heard first hand accounts of the underpants incident.
I have to admit that I giggled madly through most of this! I love the way you switch POVs with effortless ease... the way you write Severus is just fantastic, and the teenager's POV is VERY believable!
I don't want to forget it either! ;-)
Please, update soon!

LOL Thanks. But this was just a one shot for the challenge. Though after the challenge, I may tackle more of Snape's early years teaching. :D
Very nicely done, and tastefully too. Realy cute and she seems jsut like a teenager would.

Thank you. that means a lot to me since this is supposed to be a Mary Sue challenge, which means that folks will roll their eyes at it off the bat. :D

Response from phoenix (Author of Career Counseling)
Thanks. I could have just done this as her POV, but I think it added more having his in there too.
Good setup. Good interplay. Realistic description of actions and emotions.

Thanks. This was a hard one since it's supposed to be Mary Sue. I wanted to have that, but still have a little something else to make it interesting.
Nicely done. :)
Response from phoenix (Author of Career Counseling)
Thanks. :D it was fun to have permission to do Mary Sue and know that folks would actually read it. :D
Interesting perspective , with him at an early stage in his teaching. He has gone from tormented unpopular student to being a professor, which must change some people's opinions of him.
Response from phoenix (Author of Career Counseling)
I really thought this would be an interesting time of his career to explore. So often we just see him during the trio's time. I just thought about how hard it would be teach some of those who knew you when you were a student.
Hmm. Very interesting. It makes a change to have a young Severus involved this time.

Thanks. I thought it would be interesting to explore Young Snanpe a little. We always see a lot of Snape as he is in the books, but what must it have been like to start teaching while still so young?

Wow. This is SO spot on! It actually reminded me of high school and the crush about 30 of us had on our English teacher!I like the part where she's upset because no one else seems to have feelings towards Snape and she feels alone.
Response from phoenix (Author of Career Counseling)
LOL Glad that you could relate to that. Sadly I never had any cute male teachers. :( Of course, one could hardly call Severus cute, but it is still a lot of fun. And that's a good point about her isolation, isn't it? I imagine anyone loving/lusting after Snape would have to feel that way.
