A valid point… I avoided reading the thing myself, so I was taking a random stab at the time it would take.  Perhaps she had to read it through several times before she could believe it?  ^_^;

I read bits that I needed as 'research' for writing, but no.  I read 1-4 because I was bored, 5 because it was a gift.  I was so fed up with her writing then that I cut it out altogether.

Oh wow....I could never do that to myself....be writing about it, and then having to ruin parts for myself to find out certain things that happened....I'm impressed!  :oAre you going to see the 6th and 7th movies?  Or do you not watch the movies?

I watched the first three.  1 & 2 I thought were too… pedantic in their faithfulness; they made no accomodation for the film medium.  Cuaron's directing in 3 was much better (though I think a few important plot bits were left out).  After that, with my opinions of the books, my interest pretty much fizzled.  Though I may start renting them to watch the Snapish snippits. ;-P

Wow....I hated the 3rd movie....I thought it was a great movie, but I thought it was terrible in following the book...for instance...Harry wasn't supposed to find Pettigrew on the map, Lupin was....and there's a lot more that I could come up with if I had actually seen it less than 3 years ago lolI really liked the 1st two....I'm big on books sticking to the movie though....the 4th was pretty good, and the 5th one was definitely my favorite so far...it stuck to the book pretty well (although I think that it might be confusing to someone who hasn't read the book), but they also had amazing special effects :D
