*thumbs up*
*...wayyyyyy up...*

I'm glad I hit the 'random story' button now. This was highly enjoyable. Intellectual flirting, haha. Great quick read.
I am just here doing a bit of reading for a quiz I am working on. This is my most favorite line “I’m not sure, but I think this is some strange form of intellectual flirting.”
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
That's my favorite line too!Another quiz? With possibly moi? *preens*

Just as good on the third read!
I love it!

Third? Wow. That is ... so flattering. Thank you for sharing that with me, it's made my evening.
Hey maybe this glamour quiz I have in the works might actually happen! Your twist was highly amusing...and attractive.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
It's always a thrill to be in one of your quizzes! While Alan Rickman is attractive today in a distinguished sort of way, when he was younger he was sex on legs. Hermione is a lucky girl.
Response from MollysSister (Reviewer)
I loved Rickman ever since Quiggly Down Under!!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
I've never seen that one, is it good? I might be getting some new movies this holiday season ...
Response from MollysSister (Reviewer)
I dont even remember if the movie was good! I was staring at Rickman!http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0102744/

*nods* Very understandable.
Droooooling!!! Though I like Severus just the way he is, lank hair and all (shampoo and a trip to the dentist should be easily acomplished, I hope...:-)) The dialogue in your story was awesome, brilliant and fantastic!!!

I don't have any problem with how Severus is described in the books. But, as wonderful an actor as Alan Rickman is, he's about 30 years older than the character. I like to picture Severus as a younger Alan Rickman, so I wrote a story where that's what he really looks like. Which is, indeed, drool-worthy. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
I really enjoyed this -- it is a clever (and romantic) commentary on the whole screen-Severus vs. canon-Severus debate.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I figured Hermione could present my view on the debate better than I could, and I'm a sucker for a bit of romance.
You know, I've always thought that he was wearing a glamour.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
He'd have to be, wouldn't he? He's what, 37, 38 in the first book? There is no hiding that sexy voice, but he's done quite a job on his face. :D
Response from blue artemis (Reviewer)
Actually, he would only have been about 32 or 33 in the first book. 31 even, if he was born in 1960 like they say. He is 38 around the last book. Which is why I agree with your scenario.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
Oops. Yes. Right. I meant the last book. *hides*
Which is what I was thinking when I wrote this story. I love Alan Rickman as an actor and he can do things with his voice that should require a license (and only be available with ID), but he's just not in his thirties anymore and it's not fair to the character to make him look that old.
LOL- Bravo! That was fun. :D
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
Thank you. It is always a pleasure to amuse the Dark Mod!
Oh my Gosh, this is so hot!
I love their intelligent banter.
i always thought it quite feasible that Severus is wearing a glamour.
Excellent! I love this take on the two of them. The flirting is just perfect.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
Thank you. Flirting is always such fun to write.
That was so great! Intellectual flirting indeed...it's one of the best kinds. I'm smiling so widely people around me are starting to stare.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of In the Eye of the Beholder)
I'm so glad I could make you smile! It's a thrill, as a writer, any time one of my stories evokes a real response like that. Thank you for sharing it with me.

Bwhahaha. Intellectual flirting is hot! Good job, Hermione.
Author's Response: I was going to be surprised that anyone reviewed so quickly, but instead I'm immensely flattered that you took the time to review here after we'd already discussed it by email. Thank you for that! And I agree - intellectual flirting is hot. And the most appropriate type of flirting for this pairing.
Whether or not meant that way, I chuckled. Loved the fact that Tonks slapped a hand over Ron's mouth, that Hermione was absolutely clueless about the intellectual flirting.
Cute bit.
I've never come across this theory before. And yet, it fits quite well- both with canon, and fanon. The fact that it's well written and funny just adds to the appeal of the idea of the Glamours. Kudos.
