I am so glad that Hermione and Severus found happiness together even if it’s in the afterlife. I loved the ‘magic’ atmosphere you created for Halloween and the way this story left me with a warm and fuzzy (if a little bittersweet) feeling.

Nowhere has it been said that a 'death fic' needs to be sad, and here is wonderful proof! Great job!!

There is nothing wrong with a death fic when it's as lovely as this one.  I'm so pleased that they both finally found happiness, and that they found it together.

I keep thinking about poor Severus. Because even in death, he doesn't get to be with Lily. She's still with James. *sigh* This is very fitting for him. I like it. Even if it is a death fic... at least they're happy together. :)

It wasn't at all what I was expecting, but it was interesting and very different to many "ghost stories".

If Hermione needs to die to be with Severus, I can live with that. Good story. except it really doesn't lend itself to a sequel.

That was so sad yet so beautiful at the same time. Even though Hermione died, the fact that Severus was her destiny was so romantic. He literally took her to heaven.

So short and so emotionally charged! It probably wasn't the idea but I ended up crying my eyes out towards the end of this fic, not really out of sadness but mainly because it moved me. The idea that the after life can bring happiness even to those souls that weren't fortunate enough during this life is a comforting one, and even thought I'm still undecided about my belief or not in it, one way or another, I loved the fact that Snape could have the happy ending he surely deserves.

I should smack you for apolgizing for writing this!  This fic is wonderful.  But you know I like this fic.  Yes it's death fic, and it's a romance with a happy ending.  I enjoyed it!  AND you had the obit. :D  I hope larilee enjoys it as much as I did.    I think it nice that SS came to get her. :D  SQUEEEEEEE

Oh, that was sad but sweet.  I hope Hermione eventually figured out she was dead, though. 

Absolutely lovely!  I just bookmarked this one in my "Favorite Finished Fics" folder, as it's definitely a keeper!  And even though it's a death fic, I think it is actually a happy ending, all round---if she and Ron can't be happy together, this spares them (and their children) the pain of a divorce, yet sets Hermione free to be with one who loves her and whom she loves.  As someone above said, it keeps in line with canon but leaves me with a much more peaceful and satisfied feeling for the happiness of Severus and Hermione.  Loved it!

Oh, don't worry about it being happy. It is quite happy, if I do say so myself. I loved it, that's for sure.

It has a tinge of sadness around the edges. . .well okay, more than a tinge. It is very sad, yet also happy. Severus has always deserved to be happy, and with Hermione, he would be. She and Severus were made for each other! Everyone can tell! They're both so intelligent, bookwormish, pushy and (deep down in a certain greasy-haired sex god's case) loving. They both love with all their hearts and never let go. They're totally compatible. 

But I'm yammering. It was a wonderful story, and a great representation of the myth/holiday of Samhain.

well, that's one way to get a "happy" ending without conflicting with canon!  this was a very poignant and beautiful story.  in between making me cry, you made me laugh with this line:  "Hermione wished she could be a happy lush like Ron or a quiet one like Ginny or a smiling one like Harry..."
