This is a very touching and heart-warming short. Thank you for sharing.
That is SO wonderful!
So sweet!
Very nice, I like the thoughtful contemplation.
I don't really care much for one shots. However, I have read this several times and somehow, it even made its way into my favorites. I have yet to leave a review(what a bad reader I am)! It is kind of fluffy and yet I find it very realistic. I pull it up every now and then when I want a quick read and because, well...it just makes me feel happy. Very nicely done!
I so liked this ficlet. I could so easily see Severus' quarters, Hermione curled up on the divan. There was a wonderful peacableness about this scene, a contentment, that mademe smile. THe little gift of the dark chocolate, the description of the cashmere throw, Serverus' memories of Hernione's little quirks. All of it was lovely. But the best part I think was the last paragraph, there was such a quiet but pleased certainty that Severus' hope would prove true. Just lovely!
Perfect ending. This is one of those stories that leaves you a contented smile on your face. Thanks for sharing.

That's so awesome to hear!(!!!). I was worried that it was too fluffy for Snape, but after reading Deathly Hallows, I really am convinced that an IC romantic!Snape could be written. I'm so pleased that you liked the ending, I thought Snape deserved a little happiness, y'know, after JKR killed him an' all (can you believe her?!). Thanks very much for sharing your thoughts. If your interested, look out for Hermione's POV coming soon. Have a good one! -ickle duddykins.
What a sweet and gently told tale! I love how you've written Sev's POV here and your writing just flows. Lovely!

So gentle and sweet and kind. Snape would never admit it to anyone else, though! Glad you eavesdropped. ;-D
Response from ickle duddykins (Author of Evening)
Haha, you're definitely right about that! Of course, someone like Hermione might be able to beat it out of him, in the loving sort of way I mean :o) Thanks for the review, it's awesome to hear feedback. Have a great day/night/whatever time it is where you are, -ickle duddykins.
This was so lovely! I can't help but hope Severus will get his wish eventually. ;-)

Thank you! I'm really glad to hear you liked it. I won't give anything away, but I'm working on a continuation of this story in Hermione's POV that I hope you'll find worthwhile as well. I'm nearly finished and have decided to post it as a separate story. Check it out if you're interested, and thanks again for your feedback! :o) -ickle duddykins.
This is wonderful! A lovely look into a future I prefer to believe would happen. =) Thanks so much for sharing.

I'm so glad I could help ease the pain! Deathly Hallows was so friggin' tragic, fanfiction really is the best way to pretend none of it ever happened :o) Thanks for leaving your thoughts, it keeps the plot bunnies well fed and is very encouraging. Have a great day -ickle duddykins.
That was quite touching.

That was sweet. I firmly support ignoring DH's silly epilogue and Snape's death! Good job :-)
Author's Response: Thanks for much for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've been discussing my flagship organization, the F.C.C.C., over at Ashwinder recently. It stands for the Fight Canon Compliance Coalition. So far we've got a treasurer, a collection tin, some buttons, and I'm working on pamphlets. Not really. But it's a nice idea, huh? I refuse to acknowledge the end of DH, it was too damn tragic! Thanks again for your thoughts! -ickle duddykins
Angel Mischa's response: There is a group on Facebook entitled "Deathly Hallows read like bad fanfic." I think that just about says it all!
Author's Response:
Couldn'ta put it any better myself :o) I'm so there. -ickles.
That was a really lovely, gentle story. Thank-you! :)

Thanks so much, that's a wonderful thing to hear :o) I'm glad you enjoyed it, this fic and its continuation were a lot of fun to write, and I love hearing that people find it worthwhile. Have a great day! -ickle duddykins
That was beautiful. A perfectly in character Severus Snape. What a pleasant way to start my morning. Thanks.
that wa just beautiful. thanks so much
This is wonderful! Warm, sweet, embracing... everything I always thought Snape could be if he had been allowed to survive. From my earliest reading of the HP books, I thought how much alike Hermione and the Potions Master were, that in another time, under different circumstances, they would have made a great couple.Well done!BethPS- I saw in some of your replies to already posted reviews that you said you were writing a continuation of this from Hermione's POV. What will be the title of it? I want to watch out for it, so it would help if I knew what to look for. 8^)
This was the sweetest piece I've read in ages. Thank you for sharing it. /M
Lovely and sad. Wonderful, irresistible combination, and Snape so much in character although he has softened a bit. Thanks for sharing!
I just re-discover this. I think I might have read it already but I'm ashamed to notice I didn't review it at the time. And I'm so sorry to not have let you know how I find it lovely and touching. I think both of them don't dare to make the first move maybe by fear of loosing what they have. But eventually she'll finish her aprenticeship and something has to happen. If you feel you can write a sequel I promise I'll be the first review (at least I'll try to). Thanks again for the sweet moment you gave me.
