After many years away, and many forays into other fandoms, I'm back to my roots. The Granger-Snapes!

This was a lovely idea, beautifully done. Until now I never thought about the possibility of a portrait at their home. Now I will probably always add one in my imagination. Thank you so much for sharing this idea!

Response from themistresssnape (Author of The Portrait on the Wall)

Thank you so much! I figured if Hermione HAD to end up with Ron, then I was going to make sure Snape kept that running smoothly!

very cute but bittersweet fic.

Response from themistresssnape (Author of The Portrait on the Wall)

I know. I don't like the idea of Hermione with Ron, but I thought Severus would still have a big part in her life. She always did respect him. ~The Mistress

What a sweet story!I love the idea of Hermione keeping a portrait of Snape. It's sad, though, to think about what could've been if he had survived... I also liked the side charater of Dumbledore!

I know! There has to be something between those two, they are too much alike! ~The Mistress

Oh I love this story. I first read it a few months back and then couldn't find it again. I'm so glad I finally did. It was the perfect story to cheer me up back after I finished DH.

I know! It's my way of dealing with the events of HBP and DH. Thanks for reading! ~The Mistress

I luuuuuuuve the idea that Severus' portrait is part of Hermione's family. Bet that really chapped Ron's ass. Beautiful!

Response from themistresssnape (Author of The Portrait on the Wall)

And that is why it is there! ~The Mistress

I really liked this story.  I'd like to think that Snape was a complex character and capable of many types of love.  I also love how Hermione brings him into her family.  Dumbledore snoring away is classic!  Thank you.

Response from themistresssnape (Author of The Portrait on the Wall)

Thank you so much! I loved the ins and outs of Snape's character because there was so little truly revealed about him until DH. I also love to have fun with Dumbledore. He's one of my all-time favorite fictional characters. Much love~ The Mistress

Really really really well done! I like it a lot! Characters well defined, not straying from the original, yet fresh and new.

Response from themistresssnape (Author of The Portrait on the Wall)

Thanks! I think I wrote this in 10 minutes or so right after I finished DH. ~The Mistress

I'm not really reading any fics with Snape having died at the moment, I guess I'm still in denial, but this really appealed to me and I'm glad I read it, it was fab!

Response from themistresssnape (Author of The Portrait on the Wall)

I know how you feel. I think I cried for a hour after I read that chapter and his memories. I scared my husband to death, he thought I was having a panic attack! I miss Severus but here's to his memory! ~The Mistress
