Reviews for Improbable Felicity
that's a good beginning. Wants to learn what will happen as I suppose Hermione will take care of our beloved potions master
That Harry Potter is such a loser! I can see him taking either of two routes. He can become the next MOM and take over running the wizarding world to suit his fancy ... or he can become the next Dark Lord and take over running the wizarding world to suit his fancy! Where is the love, Harry?
Darn you! Now I've got that stupid song humming in my head... with yellow feathers in her hair ... [ah canary creams!]
Oh, write some more! Love your stories.

OMG!! I LOVED the ending! I was thinking that song, as soon as she said Lola. Funny coincidence, huh?
I can't wait for more! You've got me on the edge of my seat, and the other story isn't nearly half as interesting as yours. Good work.
What an extra bonus (it is Friday and pay day) to open Petulant Poetess and see Subversa has written another story! Awaiting chapter 2!

Yes, indeed! I imagine I'll post chapter 2 this evening, sometime. Thank you for reading, my dear!
I'm so excited. Subversa takes a break from her current fic for some HG/SS stuff. Hurray! I loved the 'Lola' moment. Poor Hermione. What a terrible situation. More... Pretty please... I love these rapid update HG/SS plot bunnies that you produce. Hugs to you and SubHub. Muggle Mom

Hi, MM3! Yes, my last 2 sshg's have been written for Live Journal exchanges, so by the time they get to you, they are complete! My goal is to get this one posted completely before D Day July 21. Wish me luck! Thanks for the hugs - I'll say hi to SubHub for you!*with yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there ...*
Only Ron would take up with a witch named Lola for more than one night. Avada Colada huh? Spit-take worthy.

*grins* Subversa likes to have her little joke. I'm happy to have amused. Stick around; there's more to come very quickly!
A great start! I'm eagerly looking forward to read more.

"‘We all have futile hopes, Miss Granger.'"You write Snape so well! I've read this story many times. and I love it more and more each time!
Response from Subversa (Author of Improbable Felicity)
Oh, you couldn't make me happier than to say that I write Severus Snape well! Thank you!
I cried, it was so good. Poor Severus. I hated that he had to die in DH! Rubbish ending for such a brave man.Good job!
Just re-read... again. Work is ungodly stressful this week, and fanfiction = therapy. This story, in particular, is just love... I damn near cry over that epilogue every time! Thank you again for writing such a wonderful story that gives Severus the ending he truly deserves. And Hermione's damn lucky, too. :-)

Thankyou, precious. It means a lot to me that reading this story ministers to you when you're stressed and down. I re-read the epilogue and have tears on my cheeks. I like the ending I gave him SO much better than the one Jo came up with. I cried like a baby when I wrote this chapter; it scared SubHub to death.*hugs*

Well, now that I have stopped crying, I'll just say that if you ever dare to stop writing, I will come to the US, find you, and put you under the Imperius Curse to ensure that the joy continues. Thank you for this. :)
Beautifully written and fantastically executed. Thank you.
Cheers,

Beautiful, thank you!
You have written the perfect epilogue. First you have given an adoring description of the happy father-to-be for his beloved and newly pregnant wife and their daughter "Felix". The celebratory soirée Severus arranged for Hermione's graduation, and as the proper wedding reception she'd never had, was such a worthy example of the love he has for her!Second, we are treated to a display of Severus' quiet but dignified and watchful protection of his wife at the reception at the Burrows.Your beautiful description of Severus carrying their new born daughter to Hermione so that she might nurse the baby for the first time is beautiful, and the site of the three of them falling into an exhausted sleep was so perfect. It depicted all the loving emotion they felt for each other. Then we are given to see Severus sleeping in the rocking chair while holding Felicity, and the baby is holding his finger. So sweet! And I love his response to Hermione's question, ‘Why didn’t you put her down and come back to bed?’ she asked. He held up his hand. ‘She was holding my finger,’ he explained, realising as he said it how foolish it sounded. ‘I didn’t want to wake her up.’ I couldn't stop myself from smiling hugely!Your descriptions of their daily life, with the three of them in their home, watching their child grow are heartwarming. I especially liked the scene where Felicity gave first evidence of her magical ability. Severus felt a huge smile break over his face as he lifted the delighted toddler high over his head. ‘That’s my girl!’ he told her, proud to the point of inanity.‘Felix is Daddy’s girl,’ the tyke proclaimed, clinging to his neck when he lowered her again, and she sat contentedly as he held her to him, unmindful of the tears which fell from his eyes into her wild coal-black curls. Now, this is a scene of perfect bliss!!!You have also give us a wonderful glimpse of what their lives were like while Felicity is growing up. We are taken from infancy to her first ride on the Hogwarts Express, to her receiving her O.W.L. scores, to her marriage and the birth of Hermione and Severus' grandchildren.I really liked the scene where Severus informs "the apple of his eye" that, ‘Those are not clothes – they are an advertisement.’ to be follow by ‘Felicity Eileen, ... you may follow your mother’s instructions, or you may stay home tonight. The decision is yours to make.’ This is perfect, no nonsense, Snape. *grins*It was a fitting blessing that Hermione and Severus were given SIX grandchildren, boys and girls: Felix, Severus, Remus, Eileen, Jane, and Alfie!Felicity's publication of Dumbledore’s Double Agent, How the War Was Won by Felix Snape, and Severus' being awarded the Order of Merlin, First Class by the now Minister of Magic, Harry Potter, was justice long overdue!!!
Subversa, this story has been an absolute joy to read. I really like stories wherein Severus is given the blessings of life he so richly deserved, and I love that he has Hermione in his life as his wife. I always thought his character was badly short changed in JKR's telling of the tale, and it is works such as yours that make me smile and pump my fist in the air shouting "YES!"1000 Points to Subversa! Thank you for such a lovely story, for such a wonderful vindication of our Severus.BethPS- I'd rate this story 1000 stars if they'd let me.

This story was written for GinnyW for the SSHG Exchange; it was the last SSHG I wrote before DH came out. Ginny wanted a forced marriage that couldn't be due to a marriage law, or she wanted a pregnancy fic, or she wanted a story with vignettes from the couple's life - so, cuz I lurve her, I gave her all three of her prompts in one story.I will confess, Beth, that writing the epilogue was the first thing I ever wrote through tears. I boo-hooed like a baby through much of the epilogue, particularly when I got to the part about Felix writing the book, and Severus being recognized, at long last, for his efforts in the war. I was sitting there under my headphones, typing like a fiend and crying big gulping sobs - it seriously alarmed SubHub, I promise you!So many of little Felix's milestones came from the life of my own daughter, and I was privileged to read it aloud to her last month when she was home for a visit. I cried while reading the epilogue out loud as much as I did when I wrote it, when made reading it rather difficult - but my 23 year old daughter seemed to enjoy it, nevertheless.Thank you for such a comprehensive review! I'll see you at the journal. Will I need to register?
Response from Subversa (Author of Improbable Felicity)
You don't have to register to look at my journal, but if you would like to meet some of the other authors and fans, it would be a terrific idea to open your own journal. May an introductory entry on your journal, then comment on my journal from yours, and I will friend you and introduce you to my friends, who come and leave messages on your journal to say hello. I have solicited many readers into coming to LJ and diving head-first into fandom - it's terrific fun! (and I don't ask just anyone!)

Yippie! Thanks, Beth
There is nothing like miscommunication, or in this case, no communication, to create a scene. Happily Severus was able to "get his head out of his cauldron" and rectify the problem.I hope he will like being a daddy. Somehow I think he will.Beth
Utterly charming. Their love making was sweet, passionate, and powerful -- everything wonderful a newly wed couple could imagine.Nice story telling, Subserva!Beth
Well, Mama got sorted, and Severus got good marks.Nicely done!It made me smile when Severus fell asleep holding Hermione's picture -- a wonderful site, I'm sure. I only wish Minerva could have taken a picture of him sleeping to send to Hermione.Beth
What a lovely chapter! When the situation became tense, as in Harry's insistence that Hermione is his best friend and he will be watching, Snape's only response was, ‘That is only to be expected.’ A great way to take the wind out of Harry's sails and be a gentleman at the same time! I loved it!This story has such an interesting premise, and I can't wait to read on. A good read! Thanks, Beth
