They share pets, dreams, laughter, gossip, fantastic (gluten-free) food as well as an obsession with quirky films, sci-fic/fantasy, fandom in general, and outrageously sexy menespecially the far-too-tasty-for-his-own-good Alan Rickman.

And so began his lifelong love of buttons!

Yes, indeed. :) Thanks for commenting.
There are reasons for underpants. *snickers* Poor Severus.
Response from odogoddess (Author of Trews Blues)
They help, but are not total prevention. My own brother, and a few male friends I have, all used underpants and still suffered that very mishap. It can happen whether a man wears underpants or not. Thanks for commenting.

Poor little Severus, what an awful thing to happen to a boy! And such a good reason for his preferring buttons... *grin*
Author's Response: Yes, the poor wee lad. Still it gives us the buttoned up Potions Master. ;) Thank you for commenting.

Oh, poor little Severus! I just heard this on the Petulant Podcast. Very sweet story, and the perfect explanation for all those buttons!

Doesn't it? :) Thanks for commenting!
How could I have missed this? The origin of Snape's buttons!
Response from odogoddess (Author of Trews Blues)
:) Makes a quirky kind of sense, doesn't it?
Interesting theory.

*chuckle* Most of the guys I know who are "button-fly only" have a zipper trauma in their past.
This story made me smile, as well as wince slightly on poor little Severus' behalf. (In one of my stories, Albus charms his zip into buttons 'cause he doesn't like the idea of having it so close to his tender parts!) Very cute short story, and kind of bitter-sweet, too, in a way.

Thank you. :) Yes, and we can thank that incident for all those lovely buttons. ;)the Queen of Squick's response: I wonder, does he have zipper-shaped scars?
Oh, that's an adorable story. Poor little Severus...I loved the Mother/son interaction. Of course, we must remember, "We don't tell da." What a foreshadowing of what was to come.

Thank you. :) I'm glad you liked Eileen and little Severus. :)
Awwww Poor Severus! But it most definitely explains why he would prefer buttons to anything else. ^.^ Very cute. Liked it alot!

Response from odogoddess (Author of Trews Blues)
Thank you. :)
Very cute, but didn't wee Severus wear any underpants?
Response from odogoddess (Author of Trews Blues)
Possibly. My brother wore underpants and it happened to him. It depends on how well they know zippers -- which Severus had no experience with -- and how dexterous they are (which my brother wasn't).
That's so sweet (I like reading about a sweet Severus, even if he is in pain, like this). And unfortunately it happened to my now 11 year old son last year. he refuses to wear anything but pants he can just slide into, lol!Great story
Response from odogoddess (Author of Trews Blues)
I hear you. :) It happened to my brother as well, and he was used to wearing elastic waistband pants. First time he put on a pair of slacks - ouch! Poor thing. Anyway, thank you for commenting. :)
