So very bittersweet. Almost as JKR might have written. Our lives have been forever changed by her. I will never forget this 'Other World' that reignited my imaginings. BTW I couldn't find Fawkes so I settled for the Snitch instead.

God the story was sad....but loved it... extremely well written...... it moved me to tears and that's not something i can often say about fan fiction.....but please don't make your next story so very sad...... the story was gripping from the beginning to the end...... good job

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

Hi! Thank you so much for the wonderful review. I know it's sad, I seem to do that every so often in my writing (and my husband gives me a hard time for it.)  I don't think my next story is quite as sad, though. It sort of fits with this one, however, so I hope you take a look. Thank you so much for reading this story and for the lovely review, I really appreciate your kind words!!~Gina :)

Good thing I own stock in Kleenex!    Wow.  That was a beautifully heartwrenching ending.

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

This seems to be a Kleenex story! I am so glad you liked the ending, I never know if readers will feel it was appropriately bittersweet or simply unnecessary; but the vision of Harry stepping out of the portrait to give Ron one last ghostly hug was too strong to ignore. *sniff* Thank you so much for not only validating it, but for reviewing it as well! I can't tell you how much it means to have received such wonderfully positive reviews for this story. it is close to my heart, and I'm so glad to have shared this story with others who enjoyed (and will hopefully continue to enjoy) it as well.  THANK YOU!!

~Gina :)

Talk about a selfless act.  He sacrifices himself and his friends will not even realize the half of it.  I'm looking forward to the final chapter.

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

Thank you so much for another review! Yes, Harry sacrifices himself for them all, and I think it's very possible it could really happen. I wanted to show that this sacrifice was motivated by his love for his friends. He went back in time to try and save them, and thus was born his sacrifice - which also saved himself. Oh, I had fun working it all out. ;) I hope to submit the final chapter soon, I'm really watching those commas! I think you may find some surprises; it is very much my style to end in the way I did, however, so I do hope you enjoy the end! Thanks again for the wonderful review, you've made my day!~Gina

PS. Ron's scene at the end began as a drabble, as I mentioned before. I love it when drabbles explode into so much more!

Absolutely amazing!  I don't think I could write a Time-Turner story.  I'd get too confused.  But you did it really well.  And this is such a powerful chapter too.

I just read Chapter Five in queue and realized I had missed a few chapters.  I had to read these before validating.  I really love this story.

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

Oh my, thank you so much for the amazing review!! I am so thrilled you not only validated this story, but have enjoyed it. The Time-Turner business was extremely tricky, but fun. It took a long time for this story to really come to fruition, just working out all the details. When I was writing it, I had to constantly go back and makes sure everything I'd written matched the timelines I was establishing. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, it was a wonderful challenge to try and work so many ideas into the final battle. This chapter actually started out as an unrelated drabble about Ron. I really appreciate the wonderful review, thanks again!!

~Gina

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

Oops, it's the next chapter that was based on a drabble, not this one. I'm getting ahead of myself.

*gasp* so Harry learns the truth. Hopefully he won't be too much of a prat to not save Severus as well. I don't know if I could forgive him if he left my favorite potions master for dead. But then Snape would owe Harry a life debt. Oh, the ironies! Update soon!

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

Yes, Harry learns the truth: I think the best reason for Snape to stick with Voldemort is so he can help Harry somehow, and right at the end seemed as good a time as any! Don't worry, Harry's not a total prat, although you might think I am by the time it's all over. I'm hoping to submit the next chapter tonight! Thanks so much for reading this story, and for the lovely reviews!!~Gina

Ooh!  You didn't have McGonagall change her decorations...  Yet another of those bizarre similarities we have.

I can't wait to see what happens next!

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

That is so funny - yes, we do seem to have a lot of those similarities, don't we? Maybe it's because we are right! ;) Thank you for reading this story here. The next chapter was just validated and I hope you continue to enjoy it!! Thanks for leaving such a nice review!!~Gina

Wow, very easy to get caught in the story. It just leaves me wondering who this man is. Looking forward to reading the rest!

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

Thank you for the great review! I'm so glad you are interested and really hope you enjoy the rest! I think the identity of the man at the end will slowly become clearer as you continue, it was a fun twist. Thanks again for reading this story!!  ~Gina

That was really powerful, but the end was a little confusing.  Is it Snape?

You captured the emotions perfectly, and a couple of times, I nearly cried.

Beautiful.

Hi

Response from Gmariam (Author of A Destiny in Time)

! Don't I know you from somewhere? ;) Thank you so much for reading my first story here at TPP! I'm glad you enjoyed it. A lot of people at MNFF have remarked on the end of this chapter and the man in the woods. No, it wasn't Snape, and it will slowly become less confusing as the story continues. Hopefully it is a worthy twist. ;) I'm so excited to share this story here, I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for leaving my first review!! ~Gina

Response from Vorona (Reviewer)

Whoops -- for some reason I thought it was a one-shot.  Obviously, since it's not, it's okay to be confused at the end :)
