Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

It's a GAS, really, that you had Hermione reduce Severus to stuttering. *evil cackle* Ruthless and wrathful enough to match Bellatrix. . . . . . *hee* I almost feel sorry for him. but as a book lover himself, he shoulda known better!!

If he hadn't caused the burning of Hermione's books, then I guess he'd deserve to be pitied. As it is, I can understand the 'almost'.
I always knew Hermione was a smart girl! She understands that marriage is a husband-rearing process. She established the balance of power early and Severus will learn that the key to a happily life ever after is a happy Hermione. To keep her off-balanced he can remind her that she was dating someone that was willing to violate a book....but I wouldn't do it often.

Ya know, I just can't see our favorite Death Eater actually permitting an angry person's hand to make contact with his personal parts in the first place, let alone actually harming him. Maybe the whole wedding thing just distracted him too much. I can only expect that it won't be long before he makes a point of teaching her "nice touch only". Care to confirm? Anyway, I do enjoy your stories. Thanks for your work!

Thank you.Part of it was that what little conscience he has knew that Hermione had every right to be angry and let it out. Ordinarily, he'd have hexed her fingers off, regardless of being newlywed.But once she'd grabbed him, he might have been a little cautious about startling her by drawing his wand.I expect that they would both make amends for their wrongdoings. Perhaps he'd show her the benefits of a nice touch?
ouch.. poor sevy... guess he'll think more about destroying books again!
