This is a very promising story, I really hope to see more of it. Good set up so far, it will be interesting to see what you can make of this. :)

I love this!  War with the muggles is very dramatic.

OMG!  This keeps getting better!  I would have never thought that Voldemort would try to take out the Muggles in such a bold move... it's really interesting, even if it is a rather sad existance.

Thank you for the expositional chapter. I normally don't like them, but this one was definitely necessary. It sounds like the Muggles have no idea that there are two different groups of wizards and really aren't inclined to listen even if someone were to tell them.

I love this story, with or without Snape, although of course with Snape would be very nice . But it's been great darkfic stuff so far. I've read other stories that have played off the notion of Voldemort winning and enslaving all the Muggles,but it is nice (and IMHO, more plausible) to read a scenario where the Muggles are able to muster an effective resistance. And it's very intriguing to figure out where Hermione is going to fit in with all of this.

Don't recall if I left a note before or not ... but must stand up on a soapbox and tell all that this story is just too cool. As sacrilegious as it may seem, I haven't even missed Severus yet!

I've read a few stories that cover the topic of 'what if Voldemort won', but this one is different, better, scary... Even my husband listens when I blab about what I've read and you don't get that kind of endorsement every day!

She's probably going to have to go to a Muggle hospital if she wants treatment for Neville. That could be dangerous if the backlash against the magical world continues. I'm looking forward to more.

I am astounded and very eager to see the rest. I like the spin on this of the Muggles attacking the wizards. It's something I don't usually see, and I find I can't wait to see the rest.

Not being British, but having travelled Britain from Kent to Caithness, I must wonder if there is a forest on the isle that stretches from horizon to horizon with a sea shore boundary. I haven't seen one with a single exception of a very mountainous area around Scottish lochs between Inverness and Fort William. And by the way, the ocean touches only a relatively small part of British west coast; it's seas elsewhere. Is this intentional, and Hermione managed to apparate to London from elsewhere (Norway, France)? The cottage idea is alluring and makes me wonder...Thumbs up for giving Muggles means of destroying Voldemort's reign - at least I think that's what's happening there.
