I am an almost 30 year old single mom of five year old precocious Mini-Shal and our cat called 'Katze' (cat in English, lol). In between full-time jobs at a temping agency, babysitters getting Izzy to and from Kindergarten and lots family and financial problems and housework of course, I am once again working on fanfics after a long hiatus to keep sane.
Though I have been writing fanfiction for various fandoms for the past fourteen years none of them made it on the Net because of a series of misfortunes involving six more or less functioning computers.
I haven't been a Harry Potter fan either until March 2006 when after watching Goblet of Fire I was so confused I just had to read the books. My best friend HoneyB was very mean throughout and didn't want to tell me any spoilers thus getting her revenge when I didn't want to listen to her enthusing about Harry Potter all those years. ;)
The HG/SS pairing struck me as very sick at first because as hot as Alan Rickman is, he is over sixty years old! But resistance was futile and I was won over by one of the silliest and most funny parodies I have read so far which was incidently my first HP fanfic and is sadly enough only available in German. Though for anyone fluent in that language I can heartily recommend to Google Coldmirror and her parody of the first movie 'HP und ein Stein'.
So since then I have been happily writing away whenever I have the time and get seriously annoyed when yet another plot bunny bites me in the leg and doesn't want to fit into my current story! %)

I am the worst parent for missing photo ops. I always forget my camera, and even if I remember to bring it I forget to take pictures. My son is going to grow up going where all of my pictures mom? Very sweet story, just glad my parents never brought out the photos because I was an ugly baby.

Sorry, for taking so long to reply, I was helping with the SH move.
I always forget to take pictures of little one as well. And when I do remember, she's too quick for me or the batteries are dead. lol
But then she might be glad in hindsight. lol

hehe, I'm looking at my mid-forties husband fast asleep with our toddler on his arm while I'm reading this
I also regret not having the camera when my boy turned over to bare his bum, thinking what a wonderfully humiliating photo that cute little backside would make in a decade or so

I admit to having two very incriminating photos of baby on the nappy changing table (one harmless, the other hidden as blackmail material for later), as my mother does of me. But for some things you just never have a camera handy. *sighs*

Wow! What a sweet story! Very well written. I can't tell which scene I like the most because they're all great. But I missed one scene: Remus escorting Cassie down the aisle...It's a very believable story even though I don't have a child yet; just a godson. But he loves books too. I'm amazed at how carefull he handles books. You could give him any book, even a treasure, and he won't tear up a single page; he was about 18 or 20 months at that time and he hasn't changed about that. But I'm off-topic now.I usually prefer stories with a much higher rating -I know, I'm very naughty :P- but your stories really are an exception. I don't know how to describe it, but I feel really good after reading your stories. Please, write some more; preferably RL/HG.

I'm so happy you like it! There are so many cute moments to be had with kids. *sighs* lol I'm a total sucker for my little one.
Aww, thanks. That's one of my goals when writing fluff to make others feel better. To know that I succeed, makes me feel good inside. :) *hugs*
And a lot more RL/HG is coming, you can bet on it. My notepads are full with ideas. lol
