Reviews for Silent Threshold
I can easily imagine that it would take something so dramatic as to bare one's heart to the door in such a manner, with deepest thoughts and fears dredging from within, to catch his attention so that he would know it to be truth and not some set up. Well done.
Oh the begging and groveling and debasing before he can agree to let her into his heart. That Snape, ya just cant help but love him!

He has to be so bloody difficult all of the time. He wouldn't be Snape otherwise.I am pleased as punch you liked it.
“I know you’re in there, Severus. I know that you can hear me. I’m waiting here, laid bare for you to see. There is darkness above me and stone under my feet. There is almost nothing in between, except a profound emptiness and an aching need that fills this ever-growing space. I feel as though I’ve been left to twist away in this mocking silence. Please don’t abandon me now, not when we’ve come this far.”I know it's odd to copy that much in a review ... I had to read this again, and that part just reminded me of what's to come after DH. "Please don't abandon me now ..." that's how I feel!!! &hugs& I still love this snippet into their lives! I wish you'd write the before part.

Believe it or not, I've actually started an outline for the Remus/Hermione conversation. :)
Whee - your first story - I'm so happy for you!
This was really nice. I felt her dispair and could also picture him pressed to the other side of the door as she called to him.
While the tone of this is serious, the line "a feeble attempt at Slytherin cunning" makes me think of the possibility of a humorous preqeul.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing my story. I am pleased that you were able to feel her misery. While Hermione may come across as a bossy, bookish swot on most days, she does have her emotion-filled moments. I wanted this to be one of them.
As for the companion pieces, I can definitely foresee some humor in them.
Talk about pouring your heart out... though its far from being canon, its a pretty good piece of fiction to read. Nice job!

I am glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for R & R, as it is much appreciated.
Very nice. Would love to know what sparked all this, though...what did they do before, and what caused him to withdraw from her in the first place? Other than just being Snape, I mean...~HR

Squeeee, my first review!! Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment on my story. I appreciate your kind words. To answer your first question, this snapshot was inspired by a song I was listening to one afternoon. A lot of people may cringe at that thought and think songfic, but I didn't really feel that it fell into that category. The song just simply spoke to my muse and demanded that I commit pen to paper. As for the back-story, I will be writing a companion piece or two in the near future.
