Incredibly sad. Poor, poor Mrs. Granger.
As a mother of two daughters, both long-grownup and on their own, I could identify with Mrs. Granger. Very well-written and oh-so-real.Thanks for sharing.
Awww....
thats so sad. Ive never thought about what her paretns must feel.
:(
the story was very well done tho.
pdrsj *sighs and wipes away the tear*You have so gently and tenderly captured the joy and pain that accompanies'really' letting go.With such finesse, you given each character a unique vehicle to acknowledge the feelings of the other and a positive resolution in the parting.Thank you for such a story.
How very sad. I'm hoping that this never happens with my son, but it's enevitable, isn't it? *frown* I'll bet my mom felt this way as well when I drifted off on my one. Lovely work, Jackie. Thanks.
I'm a mother as well and this story broke my heart, too. I'm going to go hug my little boy now, while he's still too young to leave me.
I am a mother of a 8-1/2 and a 4 year old, and this story just broke my heart. It is so true when we are young, we don't think of how our actions affect others. This was beautifully done. (And I hope I can bring up my daughters to be considerate of others' feelings.) You can tell this story made me think....
