Reviews for The Rest of You
Why are women so hard on themselves? Even the most intelligent women can be a fool, when it comes to how she sees herself.
LOL. nothing like aging or gaining weight to bring out your vanity.
teehee snape using miss clairol....*snort* ahhh stretch marks the bane of so many women....

A lovely little tale! Thanks!

Thank you for the R&R! :-)
Aww, this was a lovely little gem. I read this on a rec from Southern_Witch_69, and I'm glad I did.

Thank you very much! :-)
“Do you think I was merely attracted to you for your intelligence?” Severus sat up with her. “I’m only a man, Hermione, and the first thing I noticed about you at that Potions Convention was your breasts in the low-cut robes you wore.”I just love that line. I love that he was attracted to her as a woman not just as a brain. Even very inteligent women need to be thought of as attractive females as well as intelectually stimulating company. Lovely response but I still really hate my strech marks)...

I really like that line, too and I had fun writing it. Thanks for the review!
This was perfect. Just what I imagined when I posted the prompt. I think it's so important that it be okay for a woman to be imperfect, just because she is. Not because she's pregnant or injured, but just because she's a woman. So many people think that fictional women should be flawless, or that if they are not flawless, it has to be because something outside of them is causing the problem. But you did this perfectly, it's just wha tI had in mind, so thanks!

I'm glad you liked it! Whatever I read or write needs to have imperfect characters - with both physical and internal faults. Mary Sues need not apply. :-)
LOL my husband would be like that, telling me he doesn't mind - too much - the extra weight I've gained since he's known me, and rambling endlessly about his missing hair.

I'm glad it struck true for you - thanks for reviewing! :-)
What a wonderful response to this prompt. She’d tried his patience long enough. <--- This line made me chuckle. She knows him pretty well -- right up to his breaking point! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the R&R!I was wondering whether to delete that line or not, but I'm glad I kept it in since you liked it. :-)
This was very cute. Even the smartest women suffer (occasional) insecurities, and I suppose Hermione shouldn't be an exception.
Response from SS Lupin (Author of The Rest of You)
Aw, thank you very much! :-)
Great. Love how the way to sway her was to point out that he loves her looks as well as her intelligence, even if she isn't a "by-the-magazine" kind of beauty. Very nicely done.

Thanks! I have always read how Snape and Hermione are supposed to be good for each other because of their "super smartz," but I also wanted to evaluate the physical part of their relationship. :-)
