What a suside letter. I'm sorry he felt so... but I hope his words helped her. Really sad... Do we need to send you some Happiness Potion laced fudge, sweetie? I make a wonderful white chocolate truffle toffee chunk and peacan fudge roll? I'll see if I can get Happiness Potions?
Oh God I must be into abusing myself, I'm picking out all kinds of great stories that just want to make me cry.

awww lol. I do that sometimes :)Thankyou for the review :) Shares in Honeydukes to you!
I could see him doing something like trying to cut the mark off so that he could die without that stain on his skin. Well written and emotional.

When they meet in the afterlife, I get the strong feeling that Albus is going to kick his ass.

I hold on to the heartfelt belief that Albus Dumbledore is residing in a lemon-flavored hell, twinkling at Satan. I don't like manipulative bastards.Sorry, still reeling from DH.
Response from Ems Adara (Reviewer)
Haven't read DH yet . . . but I gave up on the "avoiding it till I can read it" thing. . . lol.
I was reading the story as humor until I got to the Prophet story, then it all turned dim and seems so tragic. Severus fufilled his vow to Albus and then choose to end his life. He felt he had nothing to live for. That is sad. Poor Snappie poo

I know, I'm evil. I just seem to write depressed Snape so well. Thanks for the review!
Hmmm...A good bit of writing, but I feel it leaves more questions open than it answers, at least to me: what was the Vow? Why did Snape take his life anyway, if he wanted to fulfill the Vow? What prompted such an action if he didn't feel in love with Hermione, or was this just another one of his subterfuges? This one left me feeling sad and like I have too many questions left, and I know such a letter would really only serve to hurt Hermione.~HR

The Vow is not important. I spoke a lot to my Aunt, who is a psychologist, about a person's mental state while they're suicidal. What she said to me is when someone is in a state like that, they rationalise things in a completely different way to what other people do. I know for a fact that when I'm in a rush and writing or explaining something, whether it's fan fiction or something in my everyday life, I take it for granted that what I know about the subject, who i'm writing/explaining it to does as well. It's part of being irrational. Snape wouldn't have thought about Hermione's reaction to the letter because, in his mind, he saw it as a way of explaining what he was doing, justifying it so someone will understand his plight.
Oh sometimes the blade does cut too deep..... I would think Severus would be one that would be a ghost, he is a very troubled soul.

I don't.If the war wasn't over, then yeah, he probably would. But the way i see it is he's been through enough and when it comes down to it, he has no unfinished business that has been noted in the books (unless Voldidork is still alive, then he would haunt the bastard!)
True, our Snape would not have been overly effusive. I believe his praise to her here was just about right. Very moving story.

Thankyou!!!
I thought it was brilliant. Nice touch at the end-- very symbolic.

thannkyou very much :DTo tell you the truth, this was very hard to write. I was trying to phrase it the right way, to make it sound Snape-ish without being overtly harsh.
Well you are Queen of Squick not of Fluff, but that is just so sad and tragic. I'm sure Albus would be horrified. And poor Hermione. Honestly I feel like reviving the bastard just to slap him (and to tell him to fall in love with her). If I ask nicely can we have some fluff too?
Response from Twilexis (Author of .)
I know, I know. i've been getting... well, not flamed, but told off for how Hermione would feel.i write better when they're one-shots with sequels, and this will have a sequel. Promise!
Oh, how sad! Severus really should have thought things through before he committed suicide (or was it an accident?) -- because if he really knew Hermione as well as the letter suggests, he would know that she would feel terrible about taking the Potions position if she had any reason to believe that this was one of the reasons why he sacrificed himself.

We'll never know. Thankyou for the review :) Shares in Honeydukes to you!
Great story. However, Hermione's reaction to the suicide would make a lovely sequel!
Response from Twilexis (Author of .)
...I didn't think of that!Thanks!
