I am in my late 50's and I didn't even start reading Harry Potter until after the third book came out. My granddaughter got me 'hooked on Potter,' and while surfing the net one day, I found a fanfiction site. That was it! My first story, "Renaissance," was published on Ashwinder a month later and I've been writing ever since. I am primarily a HG/SS shipper, but I also enjoy reading and writing RL/SS. I live in Tampa, Florida with my wonderfully adoring and supportive husband, and three completely spoiled cats. (Kallie, Mysha, and Smudge {who was the inspiration for the cat that Severus gives Hermione in my story "Renaissance."}) I'm always happy to correspond with my readers and I answer ALL reviews. I'm always looking for plot-bunnies, so feel free to throw some ideas out.

I love the parallelism of this, what they both know of each other, and their interpretations of that knowledge. And I thought it was particularly skillful the way that, in the paragraph where Remus thinks about Dumbledore's plans for Severus to kill him, you had him continually think of him only as "the spy," distancing "the spy" from Severus in his mind. Very well done.

i usually prefer hetero pairings over slash, but this one caught my interest since lupin's involved.
i usually don't leave reviews and prefer to lurk around.
but this isn't a usual story, and the way it has ben written is superbly... unusual.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I've actually written a quite long continuation of this piece, but I just haven't posted it. It actually has dialogue! Snape and Remus run into each other at the Ministry and things get ... interesting. I actually had so little reponse to 'Watching' that I wasn't sure if I should even post the other story. Almost didn't read it. I rather like my men liking women. But having read "Renaissance" over at Ashwinder convinced me to read another of your stories. I'm glad I took the chance, it's a beautiful piece.

Thank you so much. I'm not even sure what inspired this piece; it just sort of flowed out of me one day. It's reallly just about two weary, sad, and lonely people who love each other but don't know how to say so. To me, the fact that they are both male is almost inconsequential. Thank you again for your lovely comments.
I like how not only did you write Snape's viewpoint, but also Lupin's. Secret love is so beautiful, especially when the lovers are keeping it secret from themselves. I'm glad i took a break from my normal pairings to read this.

I really enjoyed how you put the two perspectives together like this.? Each one is so believable.? Many times, these "two viewpoints" stories lack a certain cohesiveness in one if not both parts, but you escaped this pitfall.? I normally don't read this category (being a happy ending SS/HG sort), but I'm very glad I gave this story a try.? Thanks for your work!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. The very first Harry Potter fanfiction I read was a SS/HG story and I, too, fell in love with that pairing. I've written a number of stories with them, mostly posted at the old Ashwinder site. I stumbled across a 'Snupin' several months ago and discovered that I adored that pairing as well ... go figure ...Again, thanks for reading and for taking the time to post a comment.
