I'm a thirtysomething who is taking a hiatus from full-time web development to stay at home with my kid. I still do a bit of contract and/or volunteer web work, as well as other volunteer work. I do a bit of community theater (musicals, I'm not much for straight plays) as well. HGSS is my favorite ship.

Fabulous example of just how much punch can be packed into a few words! It tells an entire backstory and hints of the future. Lucky baby, to have such parents. Great job of writing!!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hadn't planned to expand it, but I've been toying with the idea after all the wonderful responses I've received. It wouldn't be a drabble, however - I'm not a big fan of serial drabbles. No promises, but it is under consideration!
