I get the feeling that with Bast, the worship mandatory not a choice. Any being that has made Severus Snape change his mind, has earned the right to be worshiped.

I read this story quite some time ago on another site (Ashwinder, maybe?), and I was looking for something familiar, sweet, but not too sweet, and short, and I suddenly rememebered this fic. It is as good as it was on first reading, and maybe even better. Of course, I'm a sucker for anything with cats. In short, I loved it!

This is a cute story. It was a nice touch by adding the kitty getting sick when Snape was not around. That way, he had to stay in his rooms. :) So Severus had a crush on Hermione before the "incident," eh? I wonder if Hermione still fancied him at that time too. You mentioned that in her sixth year she had fantasies about him. I can't wait to see how the meeting with her parents goes.

The perfect name for the hateful little shaded silver kitten that our calico gifted us with. She hisses and spits at everyone. She is beautiful, I think we will keep her.Almost as good a name as Oscar the grouch for a siamese with a similar disposition.Wonderful story

Charming story!  I love the way Bast gets to Severus and opens him to the possibilities of love.

I love many things about this story. I love his final acceptance of Bast ... the way he nurses her back to health is so sweet (not that he would EVER admit to having done it!). I love Bast herself (I am a 'cat-person'), and I simply adore the way he pilferred Hermione's ribbon and used it to bind her letters. I laughed out loud at Minerva's comment re: his 'bits', and I loved your little note about The Kitten Lestat!It's so wonderful to revisit your MoE series. I'm delighted you've gotten around to posting it here :)

I adore Bast. No other creature could affect Severus the same way. Although Hermione does a fairly good job.  This is such a wonderful story and a most befitting tribute to your Lestat. I'm sure that 3 was much too early for her to be taken from you, but long enough to etch her presense permanently in your heart. Now, she's in mine too as her story persona Bast.

I'll discuss Snape's bits! Lol!I love the picture you painted in my head of Snape curled up with a tiny black kitty!Cute as anything!

Good one-shot. I love the whole idea of the cat humanizing him. The cat was a character indeed. It was very funny in a serious kind of way what went on between them. It opened the door for him and Hermione to be together because he first needed to open his heart to something - in this case a cat named Bast.

I'm awake now to read more. As you might be able to tell I have no life outside of reading fanfiction. ^_^
I'm really sorry to hear about your cat Lestat but it was very nice to have a story dedicated to her. I know that I would be devistated if something like that happened to my cat.
Anyway, nice continueation! It made me laugh with Bast attitude! And Severus didn't even notice that she basically knew he had a cat. lol

I love cats, and I like to think that Severus does too!
