She stands, on the other side of time...
If you haven't read The Automaton, it would be a good idea to do so.

Reviews for The Automaton - Revisited
Well... I have to say that I'm not entirely clear on what happened here... Has Snape come to her because another evil wizard has arisen? Or has he died and joined her "on the other side of time"?
Color me confused and not too quick to read between the lines... But it's beautiful to read even if I'm not quite sure of what it means.
Much food for thought.

It's gonna be a bright... LOL!This was lovely--the flow, wording, etc.--but I was sort of lost. My odd mind wants to think that Dumbledore had something to do with her disappearance. *wanders off*

You're on the right track. Dumbledore is very much involved. Although I don't believe there is any disappearing going on. Here's some help, maybe:
Why would I include the definition of "automaton"? If she was an automaton, someone had to make her and sustain her. Who? Once that person was gone, what would happen to her? When my computer isn't being used, it goes into standby mode, how might that be related? What was the purpose behind creating her? Why would she be sensing darkness in the future? Who's the lonely boy?Why would he be there? (I suppose this is where the Ashwinder version of "The Automaton" might be useful.)
I can see all obstacles in my way...
Part of me is beginning to regard this whole thing as a failure, but then another part of me is laughing like a maniac.

No, you're going to call me crazy, but I was thinking this was a companion piece to a totally different poem. I am so sorry. LOL. That will teach me to read and assume I'm on the right track. I was thinking about another poem where he wakes only to have Dumbledore say that they can't find her. He finally hears her again in the rain, and he goes to join her. I feel so badly about that. But when I read this, I was like, "Aha! So that's why they never found her."Teehee*frowns* So Sorry. However, now that I've read the other one again, and it's quite "clear" to me. LOL

Oh yeah, I remember that story. It was really beautiful. Sad, but beautiful.
