Nicely done. I love how you've captured the cold feeling of being lonely, empty inside, and learning not to care, though knowing you should. It's definitely a mental thing. Sometimes people have to be hard to go on. My mom often says that I'm cold. Ah, I guess I should thaw out some, eh? Teehee. Anyway, your story reminded me of me a little. Sorry about my TMI review.

This was a really excellent, following Narcissa's journey from being lost at being cold to accepting it to embracing it.  The story of a lonely and sad life.

I tend not to consider Narcissa much, even after her appearance in HBP, but you really conjure up a picture of her that has got me thinking.  Wonderfully crafted, I'm glad now I took a chance on a character I'm not keen on.

Brrr! Sad and rather chilling (if that's not too obvious a word, considering the story was all about being cold!) Poor Narcissa. I've often wondered if she and Lucius loved each other or mearly got married because it was expected and then got along fairly well because they had been brought up the same and understood each other....

Very well written! Maybe I'll rec this to a few of those "Abusive Lucius and Battered Narcissa" twits out there! :-D
