I’ve read this before, but it held up just as well the second time around. Although they had a Dumbledore sized bump in the road, they still managed a happy ending.

Quite a mix of themes woven into the Potter universe. Long-term, unrequited feelings that should have faded but didn't. Suppressed attraction that is overwhelming when it surfaces. Love plus friendship or love versus friendship. How close love and hate are. Trust and betrayal. The risk of his new affection being as doomed as his first. The sacrifice of individuals during a war.
