Thoroughly enjoyed this, a blend of chronicled affairs and fairytale lore and action--what a powerful entity and metaphor is the Forever Flower... The stealthiness and cleverness of Dobby and his cleaver during Draco and Mordaine's banter is to be applauded
HA! As well as the captivating and dynamic Hermione/the plant & Draco scenario with the locks being opened per level of intensity--the restorative amulet--Cissy is a wise one and a survivor. Leave it to the Malfoy's not to waste an easy source of gain as well as an ehancement of their reputation in the community--as always, wonderful, unique, intriguing work!

It depicts the story more clearly than whatever I had in mind whilst writing it.Cissy offers good advice, a prized trait in the Icelandic sagas, and she is nearly a seer, a revered person in the culture because seers can foretell someone's fate. The amulet is restorative instead of protective because the Vikings believed that no one could escape their fate, only cope with what was fated to occur as best they could.The latches yield and open simultaneously with Hermione.There is a bit of inversion with Dobby being the most heroic figure in the story.The Vikings wanted to leave behind a good name; the Malfoys are interested in a good reputation as a means of enhancing their profit.

Cissy plays a role found in several sagas - someone who can see the consequences of actions and offers good advice. Draco in this story is a strange character, not easy to figure out. The actions of Hermione run counter to his assessment of "lucky Ronald." Thank you for the encouraging review.
