A fellow Muffliato member, The Snapettes: The Four-House Tournament, The-Ship-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named, The Restricted Section, Seeking Severus Snape, Lovers of the Potions Master & Where the HP Boys Are. Also, a DeLucius member, as well as sneaking around, exploring other ships as the Muse allows... Love my favourite werewolf as well as a certain candyfloss-haired, eccentric wizard... The Draco/Astoria/Lucius banner was a gift to me by the one and only star_girl, and the Nagini and Severus Tale one by the lovely apisa_b The truly unique and rare gem Juniperus made the wonderful & inspirational The Twists of Fate banner, the One Riddle More, The Verboten One and 10th Anniversary one--I am so honoured! The one and only hexgirl made the wonderful Hermione & Xeno banner for me: all of you wonderful ladies, thank you!

hmm, an odd story (at least to me), but overall I liked it. the ending was a little unusual too, with the twins and all, but you kinda have to expect that Luna would have the unusual pregnancy if anyone were going to.

Thank you again for continuing to read this to the end and the feedback, truly appreciate it! I agree, it is a bit odd, and with these specific character-writing fests, it's always a challenge to explore the characters in a selected setting and complete the short fic by the deadline, so these two were definitely a challenge for me--and Luna's unusual pregnancy, twins and all, absolutely! Thanks again for giving this a chance!

Thank you so much for reading it all the way; it was written for a one-shot festival, and with the pairing and prompt situation, I was trying to find a suitable ending for an adult Luna whose path had crossed with Lucius', but have it end on a more upbeat, albeit, quirky note, etc. I had come across an article on unusual twinnings, and when researching Luna's future life with Scamander and having twins, this idea just wouldn't go away... I know, bizarre. So thank you again for taking a chance and reading, truly appreciate your time and feedback!
I don't normally read Lucius (or Luna) fics, but this one caught my eye with the description. interesting so far.

At the risk of reading extraneous material into the work, Luna is acting as a Mother Goddess although a specialized one whose domain is magical creatures. This is set in opposition to the patriarchal society. She is not the property of one wizard but looks after all, and she consorts with those she deems worthy. She does not repress the natural urges, but encourages them to flourish. The patriarchal society misplaces its members, the Mother Goddess keeps track of all in her domain.

Thank you so much for reading and the generous feedback; yes, absolutely, the take on Luna in this story is definitely as a nurturing Mother Goddess--I've always felt out of all the characters (okay, maybe Molly aside) that she's the one most in touch and at peace with the earth and universe, natural urges, and all magical creatures' place within the scheme of things, and wanted to explore Luna in this role more. Lucius carries the weight of patriarchy, not an easy burden for him to ease off from or disassociate with, seeming to be such an innate part of his identity. Thank you again for your comments, truly appreciate them!
I really liked this. 2 characters I really like. Thank you.

I never would have expected all of them to end up all together, but it's clear that they are all happy, and I'm all for happiness! Your tale is very magical from start to finish, and it's on my favorites list!Beth

Oh, thank you so much for reading and the lovely feedback! I must confess, it was Luna's magical influence on me that had them all embrace what had happened and each other Where there is Luna, there shall be happiness!:-)Again, thank you, truly appreciate it--I'm honoured and so happy that you enjoyed this!
I like the foundation you've laid for Lucius and Luna to "find" each other. She always sees things- important things- where other's cannot or will not because of their own myopic tendencies to see only what is to their own benefit. Luna is not a selfish creature, and in many ways she may even be the most magical creature of them all.Beth

Thank you so much for reading and for the lovely feedback, Beth--truly appreciate it! So happy that you liked this scenario, and so happy that Luna came across as intended. Absolutely agree, Luna is a very rare and selfless creature, so much unconditional love and understanding; it was a wonderful experience to explore her in this story, and yes, 'in many ways she may even be the most magical creature of them all.'--again, absolutely! Thanks again!
So in the end they are all happy, including Narcissa.
Response from nagandsev (Author of A Magical Creature Like None Other: Rara Avis)
Thank you so much for reading! Yes, a happy ending; by the end, I felt the happiness should be spread around and include Narcissa, joining in--it's Luna's affect on me. Thanks again, truly appreciate it!
I never thought I would say this, I think Lucius may be right. If Luna could find him, why couldn't his family find him, he wasn't hiding or in disguise, and when all is said and done, Luna did find him.

, and for the kind feedback--truly appreciate it! I love it that this point about his immediate family stood out for you--when I started writing this for the LBB fest, the thought about Lucius, someone who seemed to have it all, lost it, was given a second chance/changed by someone outside his previous circle, but those around him, his immediate family members hadn't changed their perception and relations with him, some still unresolved, bitter issues, etc. They concentrated on reinventing their own lives, excluding him in the picture. I was hoping the realization of Luna's true care and love for him would help give him strength and resolve in life, as no one had given him before, in a positive way, etc. Okay, I'm babbling--just so happy that you gave this a read--thank you again!:-)

Thank you so much for reading this,
Just reread it again. *sigh* Gorgeous! I'm in love with this gem! Your Luna is perfect - dreamy and provocative at the same time. Lucius is very, very lucky to have her! You showed his doubts and reservations brilliantly. And his passion - my goodness. The man is scorching hot. Love this blond bastard!

, thank you so much for reading this again and for your kind feedback--truly appreciate it! Lucius--heeeeee! When this Slytherin's dragon fire is awakened his 'scorching hot' (love this phrase!) passion does need to be releasedSo happy that you enjoyed him, and yes, I absolutely agree--he is incredibly lucky to have had Luna come into his life. I'm also so happy that you liked how Luna is portrayed here--I was trying to find the balance between an 'adult' Luna but still keeping some of her trademark essence--that lovely dreamy quality and sort of all-knowing and earthiness blended with celestial wisdom she seems to innately have, etc. Thank you again,
