I'm a forty-something American woman who is addicted to the SSHG pairing, relatively new to this fandom. I'm also considering starting some original fiction soon...
Check out the story I co-wrote with Remarkable -- it's called "Hidden Attractions" and (as soon as it's through the queue) it's archived under the penname remarkable_linlawless.
For those who are interested, I've got two WIPs at my website (which I will eventually post here, but not until I have a complete draft). It's easy and free to join the website, so I hope you'll visit!
I am honored that my story, Witchy Woman, has been selected as a featured story for September 2010. Better yet, this honor came with the very awesome banner at the top of this post!
Here's a couple of banners my friend Atuliel made for the two WIPs at my website:
Reviews for Of All the Cruise Ships in All the World
This is by far the best cruise fanfiction story have read for the Severus/Hermione pairing. I look forward to reading more of your stories!
Wonderful story, I love this idea!
I can just imagine Hermione's, erm... thoughtful benefactors and their deliciously horrified reactions. I do hope someone brings a camera to the party. Hee!
This was SO much fun -- especially Hermione's party suggestion at the end, hahahahahah! (That'll teach her friends to meddle, hee hee)
I love this first chapter. I can only hope for more very soon.

Thanks very much! Severus has clearly mellowed post-war in this tale... :D (Just posted the rest.)

I am embarrassed for Severus. Square-dancing? *shudder* Are you SURE Lucius didn't spike his dinner or something???Quite a fun chapter. Looking forward to more. Even if Hermione likes the final outcome of the cruise, I certainly hope we get an entertaining episode of her giving her 'supposed friends' the what-for.

Hehehe I'm pretty sure Severus square dancing was due to a combination of his having mellowed after the war and his concern that if Lucius pouted, Severus would have to kill him...Thanks for the review! :)

The scene in Florence was delightful! I really liked Lucius in this one, and the interplay between Severus and Hermione. Nice Job!
Clever premise! Fun loving Lucius, a tolerant Severus, a Hermione who is resigned to the inevitable when her huge textbook is replaced with literature...what's not to love? I even like Delilah, there's a small spark of intelligence in her. I think. Thank you!
Aw what fun. And you've also done all the research you need for a trip of your own. Hopefully someday the muse will convince you to write a one-shot of the late-birthday party. It's sure to be a hoot.
What a wonderful romantic cruise, and tour of Tuscany, just the right mix of hesitation and passion. Will we be invited to the party, and maybe the after party as well?
FRIENDS ! don't you just love them, interfering busybodys, that think they know what's best for you, and the worst thing is, they are often right. Loving this so far, Severus square dancing was a hoot, such a noble sacrifice for Severus to make to save a friend, as we all know pouting is { in Severus' mind at least } a capital offence.
Just Bedford I hot notice of thé update I was looking for a place to go scuba diving in the mediterrannean sea. If there's a way for it I'm in for Tuscany but I'd prefer mid octobre if that is okay with you (and that is not a joke but a serious offer)
This was a lovely story! I like the gentle way you introduced forgiveness regarding Hermione and Lucius; you gave it the seriousness it deserves, yet retained a lightness in the story. The growing romance between Severus and Hermione was very well done: sweet and their hesitations, realistic. I love that Hermione is the one that propels their relationship forwards, as well, expressing her feelings in that shower scene. And Delilah was a fun and cute OC, with a wonderful imagination ;) Enjoyed it very much!
Enjoyed your tale!!! Looks like you set yourself up nicely for a sequel...! ;)
Very cute.
You asked: "Now, who wants to meet me in Tuscany next September?" My question is, will Severus and Lucius be there? ^_^
Severus is such an insecure little thing. I love how she uses nudity to distract him. The birthday party reveal is a great idea, and is exactly what her friends deserve. I had a great time reading this again!
I swore I wasn't gong to reread exchange stories so I could catch up stories I missed here while that was going on. But this one was so much gun and I need a lighthearted read tonight, so here I am. I'm sending from my phone, so this will be one big paragraph ... Sorry. I love man-whore Lucius who is reformed enough to go on a Muggle holiday. And Severus who is having fun almost against his will, with a girl who DOES know his past. And Dee who is sort of oblivious and can't stop talking to save her life. I'd forgotten how amusing this was. :)
