Burning, Version 1.1
Chapter 2 of 2
TeaOliSeverus employs a unique approach to helping Minerva forget the past. Version 1.1
He had to burn Urquart Cottage to the ground. What better way to win his heart’s desire than to raze the one remaining symbol of her past affections? Since surviving the war, Severus Snape had become accustomed to seizing the day. He wasted no time thinking about possible consequences before taking action.
Minnie claimed working with the children kept her young. The opposite was true of him; they were well matched, he claimed. What was twenty-five years?
She disagreed, of course. The cottage stood as a nasty reminder of his life’s failings. Once it was gone, she would be his.
A/N: This was the original version of "Burning". It was voted into obscurity at SND Chat, but linlawless requested that it be revived.

Still fills me with sadness , for both of them.

It is sad when a person is so broken, even their love is poisonous.

Oh Severus did the "mudblood" incident teach you nothing ?
Response from TeaOli (Author of Burning)
This is an entirely different beast, alas. So, even if that had taught him anything, it wouldn't necessarily stopped him committing this particular madness.

It's not the sort of romantic gesture I'd hope for!
Response from TeaOli (Author of Burning)
Nor any woman, I'd imagine. :( But Severus isn't exactly in a place where he can understand that.

Yikes! This is a version of Snape that I don't want to cross paths with. Perhaps he needs to attend Romance 101. :)
Response from TeaOli (Author of Burning)
No, me either. He terrifies me. ~shivers~ But I think this poor Snape needs a great deal more than romance lessons set him to rights. Thanks for reading.

Poor Snape. He absolutely can't see where his reasoning goes wrong, does he?
