It didn't end how I expected, but I liked it.  We know she will wait for him, and the UST will be so great by then, they won't get out of bed for the first week after his release!  Although, Albert is cool.  Perhaps he can finagle some conjugal visits of sorts, lol.  Lovely, fun story.

This was a fun chapter!  It's adorable how neither admits that they want to spend time together, but there they are on a Saturday.  I do feel for him and his girly Patronus.  After I stopped laughing at him, of course.

Severus looked around the room, wondering where he should position himself. He took his seat at the table, but changed his mind and crossed instead to the side of his bed. No, that would look entirely too pathetic. Her voice came from outside the door, and he heard the rattle of Albert’s keys, so he quickly moved back to the window, deciding it would look best if she found him gazing pensively at the sea.This made me giggle.  Riiight, he doesn't care about seeing her at all.He felt his heart soar at the news, so he quickly controlled his face and gave her what he hoped was a menacing scowl. LOL!  I wonder if he even understands himself...

Oh my, well that's twisted canon on its head!  I don't know if I've ever read this.  At the moment, I don't remember it, so must hurry on to see what happens next!

This is a priceless peek at the slowly changing relationship between Snape and Granger.  I loved finding out that Severus' Patronus had always been a doe- and it probably was hard for him in DADA classes with James Potter.  As for Lily's Patronus, it doesn't surprise me that it was a Rottweiler.  Years ago when I was first reading the books I thought she was too hard on Severus for using that dispicable term, yet never seemed to mind how terribly the Mauraders treat her childhood friend.Who is going to win this puzzle challenge? My money is on Severus.  8^)Beth

My Sunday was actually wonderful so far, but doing crosswords with Severus would top that. Thank you for a lovely story. I appearantly didn't read fanfiction yet when you posted it for the first time.

They are a great match in the verbal sparing department, loved it.  I also like the slow build up of the friendship between them. Great chapter. 

I imagine Severis' legal team was more than a little disappointed to find out that their entire defense was built around a house of cards.  Even so, the reasons he and Dumbledore decided to fabricate those memories was sound... and perhaps the Wizengamot will not feel the need to punish the Potions Master for playing fast and loose with the facts.  It did aid the fall of the Dark Lord.Maybe our Severus will come to appreciate Hermione for more than just the opportunity to ease a Gryffindor.Beth

We all have this Byronian Hero worship going on because of Snape's endless obsession love for Lily. Nice to see a story that takes those emotions out of the equation. Can Hermione grow to love him without all of those preconceived notions? I know the answer because I have read your previous version of this, but it's wonderfully refreshing to relive it a second time around.Thanks for re-posting this story. In any case, I wouldn't normally be this particular about a story i wasn't explicitly requested to beta, but since you mebtioned wanting to improve your writing I am going to mention that on Hermione's first  sight of Severus you put the phrase "altogether better" in consecutulive sentences.

Albert is a sweetheart.  I'm so glad Severus has so affable a guard to keep watch over him.  And Hermione is taking everything her former professor can throw at her with aplomb... until he gets to this last little bombshell:“The false memories are of unusually excellent quality, if I may say so myself, due to my skills as both Occlumens and Legilimens. The truth is: I never really knew Lily Evans; I never liked her; and I certainly never loved her.”How can this be?  Just what were Dumbledore and Severus up to when they "created" these false memories?  I can't wait for the next chapter!!!Beth

In fact you are listed in my favoritr authors so I would know when you posted anything new.I love stories where their is a lot of verbal sparing between Severous & Hermionie, I alwys taught this was one of the best.
