I'm a 30-something mother of three girls and keep chickens, frogs, and cats.
I love to read, write and play the piano. I've also been known to occassionally sketch, paint, crochet, and sew. I hate laundry (but honestly, who doesn't!?)
I hope you enjoy my little stories as much as I have enjoyed so many others.
Thanks for reading!

Nice story, it would of been nice to read about the ball.
But what a show off! I do enjoy a dark Snape, and here is a good one. And a feisty Hermione. A good combination. I'm looking forward to the Ball. I'm sure he'll have the opportunity to "mess with her head" again there. :)
Somehow I feel that Narcissa will not let this be the first, last and only date. In the end when Severus stopped throwing his little hissy fit, and Hermione stopped channeling her inner harpy, all went well.
Whoops and things were going so well. Bested by their past history. Loving your story and looking forward to more.

Very nice. Severus losing the bet was not that bad after all. Did you write a follow up to this one? I really enjoyed reading. Thank you.
Will she find out about the bet, I wonder? She'd definitely more than a match for snippy Severus. I wonder if they really will never speak of this night again, as he requested, or if there's more on that cards..
Hee! I like that she's polite enough to only think Fuck! while he actually goes ahead and says it!
Also, I want to go to that restaurant!
You know, I think I actually managed to miss this during the original fest *shakes head* A blind date as a forfeit, eh? Of course, now I'm starting to worry about the deeply horrible aspect...
This is as effervescent as a nice dry glass of champagne. The banter between Severus and Hermione is perfect. And the connections between Hermione and the Malfoys are interesting and believeable. I confess I often have trouble picturing postwar Hermione being friends with the Malfoys (hard to hang out with someone when you've been tortured in their drawing room) -- but the way you've written Narcissa, the sincere friendship rings true. Looking forward to more.

Why thank you!! I do understand what you mean about the Malfoys. I have a hard time with them suddenly becoming all friendly too... I did try my best to make it believable. I love the idea of socialite, pushy Narcissa who mothers Severus and steam rolls Hermione! ;)

They are off to a flying start, I'm glad Severus has promised to behave like a gentleman.

LOL! Promises are one thing; I suspect he will stretch that promise to the limit! :D

I wonder just what was the bet? And why was it vow bound?
Response from Meladara (Author of The Gentleman Bettor)
Do you expect anything less from them? They enjoy a good game of Slytherin one-upmanship. Couple that with alcohol and they turn into MANLY MEN! They can handle a little vow bound bet anytime. Heee!
