Very nicely done. I've always seen that the two of them developed a strong friendship despite their age difference (though the idea of them as lovers does squick me out a bit so thank you for keeping that non-explicit) and that his betrayal would hit her at least as hard as Albus' death.

Thanks! I find the idea of a sexual Minerva/Severus to be intriguing, but I understand that it's not everyone's preference. Thanks for reading and commenting, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.~~Kelly

Was Leni Jess also known as kyriaofdelphi?

Not that I know of. I looked at her LJ profile (on legacy status now) and didn't see it mentioned.

Duh! Silly me. Actually I was thinking of Livvy6.

Kelly - this is an absolute jewel of a portrayal of both Severus and Minerva. I think of all of us, you express the greatest understanding of their natures, both together and apart. The comparison of Severus to absinthe is brilliant. Five stars is an inadequate award.

Thank you very much! Minerva/Severus is a pair that really intrigues me, though it's not an obvious or easy one.~~Kelly

How unexpected but a truly wonderful look into their relationship.

Thank you! As a couple, I think they are unlikely but not impossible. They really intrigue me.~~Kelly

This is marvelous indeed. A wonderful look at the away-from-Harry life of two of the Hogwarts faculty. I loathe absinthe, but you used it beautifully, and it is indeed a convincing favorite tipple for Severus. (Though given the stresses, it's surprising that he didn't drink it all himself when *he* had access to the head's cellar!)

Thank you! Yes, if I'd been Severus, I think I would have taken to drink for the entirety of the DH year /g/. I'm glad you think absinthe works as his drink of choice.~~Kelly

Your stories treat Minerva so masterfully - as well as those she interacts with. Thank you again for such a good story.

Very nicely written, very believable Severus and Minerva! I especially enjoy the way you have made Minerva so strong, both compassionate and stern.

while I'm not a fan of ss/mm pairing, I liked this one since it all started out as a drinking game of sorts lol. I do like the new viewpoint on him though. sorry to hear that your friend this was intended for passed so suddenly and unexpectedly, I'm sure she'd have loved it too.

Thank you for reading and commenting. I think a few nights spent drinking absinthe with Snape could lead to all sorts of developments!
I can't describe how much reading this has pleased me. So, I'll settle for saying that you've given us both a wonderfully written story and a deft study of both characters. Brava!

Thank you! I love MM/SS, but I know it's not everyone's cuppa. So I'm very glad you enjoyed it.~~Kelly
I enjoyed this very much. I love that you keep both of them in character and convey so beautifully what draws them to each other.
Response from kellychambliss (Author of Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Snape)
Thanks! I always see their relationship as complex and shot through with both regard and tensions, whether I cast them as lovers or just friends (which is probably more believalble, but not as fun /g/). I'm glad you think they work together here. Thanks for reading.~~Kelly
