I'm a forty-something American woman who is addicted to the SSHG pairing, relatively new to this fandom. I'm also considering starting some original fiction soon...

I can fully understand where Hermione is coming from and kudos to Severus for protecting her from herself.

Whether the ending was right or wrong of Severus, he certainly did the right thing by stopping Hermione from doing something he knows she would regret. I found this quite realistic.

Hahaha! Love the twist at the end, and of course, Severus taking vengeance on behalf of Hermione; love that you kept the identity of the attacker anonymous for the reader to imagine whomever they wish as well as the level of the vile deed of violence done to Rose!xxx

Aye well....that's my kind of retribution. You see I'm a well adjusted, very reasonable individual....BUT if anyone was going to mess with my girls I believe I would become a tigress....my patronus/daemon....by the way. Way to go Sev.....but he wouldn't have stopped me if Rose had been my daughter. Mind you we don't know exactly what this bastard has done but if Hermione was willing to risk Azkaban it must have been serious. Well done. Best wishes, Love (a very kick-ass) Ali xxxx.

Rose is, the daughter of two of ''The Golden Trio'' ,God-daughter of Harry Potter, and last ,but by nomeans least, step-daughter of Severus Snape. I don't think thay will try very hard to find the person, that reduced her attacker to a quivering mass, that would consider a dementors kiss, a mercy.{Severus would not let him die, that would be too kind} 
It wil be one of those things , that everyone knows, but on one talks about. Thank you for a very thought provoking story.

I loved the ending. The way in which Severus didn't let Hermione soil her hands but then went into Death Eater mode and took revenge with an untraceable wand. Lovely.
