I write fan fiction: I am a big SS/HG shipper, but I also like RL/HG, DM/LL and tastefully written Dramione or Lumione on occasion.
I photoshop: I use photoshop an awful lot to create my own banners and edit photos - I love my DSLR.
I am a bibliophile: Paperback, hardcover, graphic novel, fiction or non-fiction. You name it, I read it and collect it.
SEVERUS SNAPE IS MY ONE TRUE LOVE!!!

*phbbbbt* One of these days, you'll have to end a chapter without a cliff-hanger. Love Sevvie's reactions. ^_^

But where is the fun in that? Lol - thanks for reviewing.

What a surprise it was to see Ginny standing on her doorstep, but their visit was a good one and she is now godmother to all of Harry and Ginny's children. I agree with Ginny: "Who could be a better example?"When I read that Hermione was using a glass cauldron, I couldn't help but think that Severus was using one, too. Although I had idly wondered if both of them were working to create a cure to the nerve damage caused by the Cruciatus Curse, I didn't feel so sure that was the case... until now. I'm still not 100% sure, but I'm nearly there. In 2005 when Severus met Hermione in Berlin he was totally rude to her. But I was glad that he had been impressed by her presentation and he recognized that something had changed her... Impressed coming from Severus Snape is high praise indeed! And I'm very glad he did not snoop in her journal. Thanks for this great chapter!Beth

It's uncanny how both Hermione and Severus finish their day in their sitting rooms with quill and ink. It seems that their lives are rotating around similar thoughts, just in different places. She is grading papers so she can go to the seminar, and Severus is making a to-do list so he, too, can go.
Lots of little tidbits here to give us a better understanding of their lives. They are connected by so many things, most especially because she saved his life and brought him The Tales of Beedle the Bard. At least he would realize just how and why he had come so close to dying.
I'm off to the next chapter!

This first chapter is wonderful! I find myself wondering about what happened in the years between 1999 and 2009.
Hermione has had a "hard row to hoe" with losing her parents and having to work so hard to attend the London Institute of Magic, complete her Master in Potions, and set up her own home and began lecturing. She seems very happy now and not at all lonely, but I wonder...
Severus Snape seems to have created a satisfying life for himself, but I can't help but feel that he must be lonely- even though he tells himself that inventing new Potions, studying theory and reading his books are supremely satisfying.
In two weeks time both of them will attend the “Potions Through Time” seminar. Hermione will be there to learn, and Severus will be there to critique the presenters. Surely they will see each other, but will Severus avoid talking to her? Or will he, perhaps, spare her a word or two? I can't wait to find out!

I like the little bits of history you chucked in here :) Good chapter :D

*grin* She's making progress, ain't she? Or maybe he's the one making progress? Is Brahmi a real herb or did you make up the name. I'd check myself, but I'm feeling a bit lazy this weekend. ^_^
Response from Hanagasume (Author of The Beauty of Science)
It's a real herb. I actually did a LOT of research on plant types and properties etc for this. Thanks for reviewing.

Four days out of seven? that's a hell lot for someone not used to meet another human being. I'm not surprised that Snape falls asleep. He might have become hoarse for overusing his vocal cords, too.
So its all down to Ophelia that Snape concedes. That's good to remember as he cannot righfully blame Hermione for it -- although I'm sure he will eventually try just that. I'm curious to see what they think of each otehr's style in research and in note taking.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of The Beauty of Science)
Lol, well they are different people, so I think there may be times when they disagree. Thanks for reviewing! :D

errrr, did S Snape just reveal a detail of his private life? To a Gryffindor? What has come over him to do so?I like the set-up and the common base you've built up here, although I'm sure they'd have preferred enjoying the symposium.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of The Beauty of Science)
I am sure of it, but sometimes these things are good, and others not so great. Thanks!

'To be continued' must be the three most unsatisfying words in the English language. ^_^

Yay! They are working together. He's still so very... Snape though. We should slip his some prune juice to loosen his sphincter :p

Ah... so a little bit of 'Professor Snape' lingered well past his freshness date and still tainted Severus' demeanor toward others. Too bad. I can't wait to see how the conference affects both of them. Great chapter! :D

Thanks. More is hopefully on the way soon.

Excellent update! I love being able to picture Severus as he brews and this was a perfect chapter to do so. It looks like Hermione could use a little collaboration with her experiments. Wonder if a certain potion master might be just the person to lend a wand, hmmm? Well done! :D

Thanks again!

Excellent beginning! I think that WriterMerrin is such a lucky duck to get this lovely gift!I can almost picture Hermione biting her lip while trying to puzzle out what makes a person want spouses or children. I hope she gets the "bug" later in the story. :D

Interesting beginning. I look forward to reading more!
Woo hoo! The Lycanthropy potion is a success. Surely the Ministry and some wealthy families will be able to at least start a small rehabilitation program to start, and then more funding as it becomes evident that this disease can be cured.Professor Mason's comments to Hermione about the projects she and Severus might be working sent up red flags for me. His insinuation of their "wanting to put a couple of Order of Nimues up next to your Order of Merlins" really galled me. I think this fellow will be trouble. There are very interesting times ahead of our favorite couple. The quote from Marie Curie was perfect for this chapter!!!Beth

Husband and wife! They're finally married and their wedding was such a lovely yet simple ceremony... my favorite kind. Molly did a wonderful job with the reception dinner, didn't she?Now... where has Severus taken Hermione for their honeymoon? Some place remote and romantic, or perhaps to a beautiful, old world, romantic city? Or some secluded island? Inquiring minds want to know.Beth

This is wonderful. I like the use of the Muggle traditions to help offset the Wizarding ones. And really, who listens to the minister when they're getting married when it's more interesting to watch the person you're marrying? ^_^
