Thank kindly you for reviewing. I understand that it is not to everyone's tastes, but I'm afraid that it would essentially gut the story to place the largest twist out in the open from the beginning. [And I like to think that writing the 'I don't normally read _____, but...' story is my fanfiction niche.]

Since this was written for a Canon fest--and in light of where I knew I was going with the story--I figured I needed to sneak in all the canon bits I could manage to keep the Mods happy before dropping the bomb.

If you think a jarvey is hard to get rid of once it gets into your head, try uprooting a tree. You can't even argue with a bloody tree...
