I'm a middle-aged, professional writer of non-fiction and would-be professional writer of fiction who also writes Harry Potter fanfiction just for fun.
I’m a proud member of the Harry Potter Old Lady Smut Brigade, which means I’m most interested in the older female characters in the Harry Potter saga, particularly Minerva McGonagall.
If I had received my Hogwarts letter back in nineteen-mumble-mumble, I would most likely have been sorted into Ravenclaw, or so everyone tells me, probably because I’m a geeky data-freak (my Real Life™ requires me to read piles of medical journal articles.) I, however, think I’d feel right at home in Hufflepuff too, so I consider myself a Ravenpuff.
The fics I write may contain adult themes, and I will always warn for non-con, graphic violence, bestiality, incest, or underage sex. I don't warn for homosexual relationships or sex, or for threesomes/moresomes, unless they contain one of the aforementioned elements.

I maintain a master list of (mostly Minerva-centric) recs at Diigo.

Heart-warming, and Heart-breaking, at the same time. Wonderfuly done. Thank you.

He could no more form words at that moment than he could Transfigure Mars into Venus.

You are a master at taking intense, often pivotingly passionate emotions - most being confused and unsure - and relaying them perfectly to your characters with one, simple line. Severus is in shock and for, perhaps the first time, not sure what to do - but decided to let his vulnerable self come (first time ever, maybe?) out and be loved.... and I love how you show the battle he has with himself to BE loved by her... and I love Minerva's patience - she is a saint... a real saint.

Aaah, I loved this one. Great work! ♥
*snip*“Are you going to get in, or are you just going to stand there gawping?” she asked, and he could have sworn the maddening twinkle in her eye was borrowed from Dumbledore. “I don’t bite.”“I’ve heard otherwise,” he immediately retorted.Where the hell did that come from? he thought. The twinkle redoubled itself. “Why, Severus, was that a joke?”OH! I lolololoed my arse off there.... enjoying this so far... love the "direct" approach of our narrator. *winks*

*snip*He spent most of the autumn and part of the winter trying to make Minerva drop him, but the infernal witch just wouldn't take a hint. It was as if her Scottish temper had been exchanged for a Swiss temperance, so non-combative did she become. Every scowl, every slight, every cutting remark was met with nothing sharper than her arched eyebrow.THAT says so much... so much... and is just perfect...

Ahhh haaaa - you got a case of the rumblings over Christmas.... I see this is what you were working on! Its beautiful, as is all things you write - despite the Dumbledore sadness - well my sadness for the state of my favorite, purple-robed wizard, but at any rate, you were kind enough and this was surprisingly happy and joyful.Still don't fancy Snape, but I love how you wrote him and how you explained his psyche - and the banter between these two was just brilliant - but then again, you know I love the way you write Minerva's banter - seems you've got it down perfect, no matter who she's talking to! *winks*

Thanks, and thanks for reading this (I know MM/SS isn't exactly your cup of tea.)This was finished by the end of October, so I can't blame this story for getting me off track with Epi, but Hoggywarty is a great fest (run by a flistie of mine). It's all about Hogwarts staff, and there's lots 'n lots of Minerva, so I simply had to participate. Plus I wanted to try out a different kind of narrative voice, and a story about Severus just lent itself to it so well. So it was fun.Glad you enjoyed.
Interesting, intriguing and extremely enjoyable. It warms the heart to believe he found some comfort in her arms.

Thanks. It's nice to write a happy-ish ending for them once in a while.
"The world prefers its heroes dead, particularly when they are hook-nosed and black-hearted." I do love that line. I'd read this earlier on another site and enjoyed it thoroughly - happy to see it here !!

Thanks! It was originally for the HoggywartyXmas fest on LiveJournal. There are some terrific stories there, aren't there?
Nice to think he had some comfort in those times, even though he denied himself in that final year. :)

I do like to imagine he had some shelter from the storm. Otherwise it would have been quite a bleak existence. Thanks for reading.
You have a wonderful way with words, and a great story-telling talent as well; a marvelous combination that I have thoroughly enjoyed! I am now off to read anything else of yours that I can find!thank you.
