Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

The storm is about to break, and nothing will ever be the same.
The title is very apt. The scene and storm developed together, making me feel as though I were right in the midst of it! Excellent read thank you.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Oh my! This was something else! I'd give you more than the allocated top marks if I could! Your descriptive/poetic style of writing is absolutely devine and so is this fic. It's got me hungry for more - and I can honestly say I don't think I've ever read an SS/Vector fic before & would certainly never have considered it before this. Well done for being so utterly unique. :-)

I'm not sure I have read one either, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were tons! Thank you for your review!
Oh nicely done. Fraught with tension yet still seductive and not necessarily in a sexual way.Lovely vignette of the return of one who was bullied. Almost as if to say "Look what you have wrought".
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Exactly! Thank you!
Perfectly titled. You've done a lovely job of building, building the tension. And then when it releases, she's disappointed.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you for your wonderful comment.
Ah, beautiffully drawn - like a stark pen and ink sketch. Had I the skill, I woujld render this tale in black and crimson inks.... This deserves extra stars !!
Response from moiramountain (Reviewer)
Oops - it also appears it deserves a reviewer who can bloody type....
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
What a fantastic compliment! Thank you! And I will admit it took me a sec to find the spelling error. lol.
Oh dear, poor Septima. Not good.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
*nods* Not meant to be....
Well, she couldn't have known, right?
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Agreed. There was no way for her to know.
Ouch! How to Spoil Your Chances By Pouring Salt on an Open, Oozing Wound.I love the oppression you built into the piece with the weather and even the sexual tension, unfelt by Snape and mortifying for Sinistra.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
I like your title better. :-) Thank you.
Response from Subversa (Reviewer)
Ah, crap, I typed Sinistra instead of Vector. Ten points from my House!
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
*giggle*
Beautiful. Poignant. Description and details immaculate and piercing. Exceptional capturing the atmosphere and nuances, solidifying the impossible with the ending. Brilliant, lovely work!
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you so much!
A very little meteorology in this story, yet your interpretation of a storm is intimate and profound. The touch of hope that Septima was able to draw out of Severus for a few moments was cut down like a lightning with a single sentence. For a man, such as Severus, I can believe a comment is all it takes to cemment him in isolation. Beautiful work.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you. Yes, she had one tiny chance, but her need to change the subject when he allowed himself one tiny moment of vulnerable ruined it.
Wow, tension is right! You've created such an amazing atmosphere in this piece in so few words - love it!
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you very much for your comment.
What a fascinating moment in time to explore. There's a detachment here along with the intimacy - what a painful misstep to make.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you! I think her need to turn aside his pain ruined her chance to get to know him.
Such an unfortunate misstep on Vector's part. Sounds like there was a touch of potential there with Snape. Beautiful use of imagery, by the way. Nicely done.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you very much!
That was certainly a miscalculation on her part.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
True, but how was she to know? The poor dear.
'She envies the bead of sweat rolling into his collar.' Nicely put. 'She flails for pleasant.' Ah...poor woman. Her desire is palpable, as is the portentous storm you depict.(These are dark days, aren't they? If Septima's telling Severus about the baby, Harry must only a month and a few odd days old. Still thirteen months of the double life ahead for poor Snape.) Well done!
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you! I wanted to capture that time between when he turned and when he fell into irrevocable despair.
Dark futures on the horizon for sure...
Response from Aurette (Reviewer)
Thank you for your comment!
What a shame. Cheer up, Septima, you lost him before you even said a word.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you for your comment!
Interesting dynamic here. There could have been something there, but it was over before it began, it seems. Nice job.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Such a tiny window of opportunity... Thank you.
So few words, so much said. *applauds wildly*
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you, Karelia.
Boy, that sucked. Could have been something between them, but it's definitely gone. Great tension and a little angst.
Response from Aurette (Author of Tension)
Thank you! And I agree. She only had a very small window of opportunity and she managed to slam it shut, poor dear.
