The inspiration was Guns 'N Roses' song "November Rain". The video is pretty sad - especially the end. That video and a drabble a dear friend of mine wrote kinda led me to taking a stab at this one. I didn't actually intend for Hermione to die when I started... my pen just did what it wanted! Thanks for the review!

Wow great one shot! I have had thoughts in the past about other stories where Harry was kind of crazy obsessive about his mother's and Snape's realationship.
