Creepy. I'm have a horrible feeling that JKR rationalised killing Fred on the grounds that people would still have George, so it wasn't so bad. Instead, you're left with George being stuck in this limbo where he's sort of half a person. If they'd had a chance to build separate family lives it might have been different, but happening when it did it was one of the cruelest strokes of book 6. (Especially if you live in the world where Snape woke up and walked away from the Shrieking Shack and Hermione isn't the mother of Ron's children - yes, I'm a bit of an SSHG shipper, but I at the end of the day I just want SS happy with someone who appreciates him and Ron to be with someone who isn't the butt of his jokes.)And I should probably delete most of this as it's more a JKR rant than a comment on the story, but as always with your fic it set me thinking about all sorts of things. You always make me think. Thank you.

Thanks for reading, dear! George and Fred are not my favorite characters, but I always felt sorry for George's loss. My dad was an identical twin, and losing his brother was a terrible blow to him. (And in my headcanon, Snape definitely left the Shreking Shack alive /g/.)
OMG, that was terrifying!
