Reviews for Shards
I'm glad Viktor endorsed not sending Ron through the Veil, and I think this ended up as well as it possibly could have. Very nice. :)
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
The epilogue is short and will give one final twist to this story. Thanks for sticking with it and the great reviews.
Banishment was a very fitting punishment for Ron, I think. And then there's the poison he absorbed... I imagine it's not a comfortable thought to know he's essentially got a ticking time bomb in his body. Who knows if Ron will even survive the length of his punishment? I'd say he's paid a heavy price, indeed. And at any rate, it keeps him far away from Hermione. After what he put her through, though not completely of his own volition, I can't imagine she'd ever want to lay eyes on him again. And anyway, she's more important things to get on with, like reclaiming her life with Viktor and raising their babies.I still am amazed how much I'm loving the idea of Percy and Luna... she's just what he needs to keep him from getting too full of himself. Although, I think everyone involved has gotten a reminder about what's most important in life from all this.

The epilogue is still hold a new twist for this story. I think you'll be happy with it. Thanks for sticking with it and the great reviews.
my husband often visits muckle skerry..known as the pentland skerry locally ( I live in Orkney) so tell lavender to watch out for the muggles who fix the light house...lol..
loved the story, these chapters were wonderful.

There is still the epilogue to go. More about the area (which I researched online) and another twist before the end. Thanks for reading & reviewing. Whee, so glad I found a reader that knows the area and could tell me if I really screwed up. Thanks again.
It's so sweet to see the Krums reunited with their children. At the same time, hearing about Ron's situation is so very sad. Hopefully everyone will be able to recover.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Ron's situation gets worse. The shard is not the only problem. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
I don't envy Augusta's position. Rin deserves to be punished for he's done but as it wasn't really him, finding the right and fair punishment won't be easy. And more babies, yeah!!
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
They come to a reasonable decision. There are still surprises to come. The last chapter AND the epilogue are in the queue now. I had to throw in one last plot twist. So it won't be long before you get to see how everyone fared. Thanks for reading & reviewing. Hugs for sticking with the story.
It's so good to have her back. She's gonna have a lovely life with her husband and babies.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
The last chapters are done and almost all in the queue. I think you'll like the epilogue. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
Now I'm wondering if there's something to Ron's 'oddness' about Hermione prior to being infected with the Horcrux-shard. It was weird even early on, the way that Ron didn't show much interest in Hermione, yet he was the very picture of extreme territorial jealousy the instant he saw her with Viktor at the Yule Ball. It'll be very interesting to see what happens once the shard is removed and Ron can speak for himself.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
You can definitely tell when JKR changed Ron's character. He started off as a goofy kind of kid who was good at strategy. Then he became sort of a non-entity about book three and by book four he was a jealous, mean-spirited teenager. The other characters are pretty straightforward, but Ron has changed greatly from the first book. Thanks for reviewing and reading.
Brilliant. Ginny is very angry at her brother, isn't she? In any case, I have to tell you a funny story about this, I forgot to tell you earlier. Gospodin means Lord, correct? It does in Croatian as well, and when we went to the picnic on Father's day, they do Mass in Croatian. Mass is Mass, so it doesn't matter that I don't understand the language, the ritual is the same, but I was able to follow better because they kept using Gospodin and I went, "hey, I know that word!" so I thought of you.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Poor Ginny is so torn. She loves Ron, but cannot forget what he did to her best friend. Harry and Ginny have been the stability of the story. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
As always I am trilled to get a new update to this wonderful story, thank you so much for writing and sharing!
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Thank you for reading & reviewing. Not much longer now and things will all be explained. Hope you enjoy what happens.
Interesting chapter. Things are moving along now.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Thanks for reading and reviewing. Chapter 10 is in the queue and then only chapter 11 and the epilogue are left. Much will be explained in the last chapters.
Okay, I'm confused or maybe forgetful (it's easy to be either right now) but when did Severus and Harry enter the cave of the Inferi together? Was it in this story or was it something I missed in another story? Excellent chapter, by the way. ^_^
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
That was part of another story that is still in the works. I just used it because it explained a bunch with less words. It just seemed fitting that those two would have gone to dismantle that cave. The polar opposites working together to undo all Voldie's creations. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
Whew! I'm having enough trouble remembering what goes on in my real life. You scared me for a moment there. When does the new story start posting? ^_^
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
That story is still pretty much on the drawing board right now. It will eventually see the light of day, but only after the outline and first chapters get a serious re-thinking. It IS, however, on my clipboard to be finished in the next few months.
Oooh... pus! ;) Interesting chapter. I'll be reading to see what the Wizengamot decides to do with Ron. Loved Lavender and how she stood up for herself -- and that Viktor could feel the difference in Ron in that short moment.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
There are still twists to come. One more chapter and the epilogue. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
I am as always totally trilled to see the update. I am so glad that Harry and Ginny have a baby on the way, even if Ginny doesn't know yet:-)) I look forward to see how the removal of the shard affects Ron, you have such a big job there, since most of your readers wants to kill him, slowly and painfully, for the harm he did to Hermione and the intention of killing her children. If anyone can do it, it will be you:-))
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
I hope the ending and the epilogue will make everyone happy. Thank you for staying with the story and reading & reviewing.
It's classic Ron for him not to connect the pain with his destruction of the Horcrux. How much pain could have been avoided had he sought help when his injury f:irst occurred.BTW, I adored Viktor's words to Harry in the lift:In the lift, Viktor said, “You must act surprised vhen Ginevra tells you. It vould not be good idea to haff her mad at me for spilling secret. You and I vill go book shopping after I bring Nin to house. Ve buy books for me, vhich I vill giff to you after she tells you. Ve do sneaky things so vifes not mad at us.”That totally made me smile. :)
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
That is the way I see Viktor, funny, sensitive, conspiratorial, and all male. Thanks for reading & reviewing. And the Tupperware invite.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
OOPs. The Tupperware invite was Rose. I'm not awake yet. Can you tell?
Response from MuseAmusant (Reviewer)
LOL! I was barely awake myself when I posted, having gotten home from work not long before. And can you just tell? :)
Voldie is poison, so I'm not surprised, but it was very like Ron to ignore the thing.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Thanks for seeing me through this. You have been an immense help and sounding board. Thanks so much.
*squee* there will be more babies!!
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
I just thought there needed to be a male-bonding moment with Harry and Viktor. And it turned out so cute. Thanks for reading & reviewing. Chapter 10 is in the queue, now there is only 11 and the epilogue to go.
This is the obligatory "chapterus interruptus" before the storm, isn't it? Nicely done! I can't wait for the next chapter to see how Won-Won reacts to Lavender. ^_^
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Ron does not escape punishment for the things he has done, but the epilogue will be a surprise. Lavender loves him no matter what. Thanks for readinbg and reviewing. I like that term you used. Chapter 10 is in the queue and 11 is going into the queue soon. That just leaves the epilogue.
Another update to this wonderful story. I am really looking forward to the removal of the shard from Ron, to "hear" his side of the story. Very well written as always.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
We are very near the end now. Thank you for reading & reviewing. Chapter 10 is in the queue and then there is only 11 and the epilogue. I hope you like what I have done with the epilogue.
Oh, "tomorrow" is going to be interesting! I'm glad Viktor received the treatise before the meeting. Perhaps he'll get some reading done, so he can possibly protect his mind a bit
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Thanks for reading & reviewing. The last chapters are done and going into the queue. I hope you'll enjoy the way it ends.
You have such a build up going, the anticipation is palpable. I certainly can't wait to see how the removal goes.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Shards)
Thanks for reading & reviewing. I hope I can keep the momentum going for the last chapters. The epilogue may throw some folks for a loop.
