Aw... whoever cast that spell was pretty mean... but it gave Drace a chance he was looking for.
Really enjoying the awkward/confused moments they're experiencing as they try to figure out how to break the ice.
I was very happy to see an update. I think this was a really good chapter. I really enjoyed the dialogue and exchange with Snape. Both with Luna and how Draco made light of his detention in a way that would deflect ire from Luna. Well done. I liked the the build up at the end to revealing that Luna is making up creatures. I think it could have been even stronger for me with a few tweeks in adjectives. Certainly, it is your story and I am loving it. But if you are interested I offer, for example, the bit "....so they can all punish me,” she muttered glumly" seemed OOC to me because I guess I never imagined Luna to be glum about anything. In this instance I could see her as pensive rather than glum. Same for me with "... she said rather morosely". Possibly cheerlessly but morose, I am not so sure. The last bit ...still looking gloomily at the floor". I have never imagined Luna looking at the floor unless searching for something. She always strikes me as an eyes upward or straight ahead kind of girl. And gloomy? Not for me. I could see her glancing wistfully at Draco if you wanted to continue that mood and then having her deliver the punch line where he then cracks up and lightens the mood. Great story. Cheers

Yes, I get what you are saying. I agree with you, I actually changed some wording. Thank you for bringing my attention such specific instances of concern, and your interpretation of Luna. It brings more depth to my mental image of her to know what characteristics and perceptions stand out for other readers. I appreciate your support.

I'm glad. I am a really big Luna fan and enjoy seeing stories about her.
I'm a huge fan of the pairing of Draco and Luna. Alas, there are many stories to be found. I'm absolutely delighted to discover this story. Your characterization of Draco and Luna is spot on. I love the imagery you've woven into this story. Thank you and I'm very eager to read the next update.

Thank you! Things are going to start getting interesting for our couple. I'm glad you left me a note, thanks.
I love that you don't just have them jumping into friendship. They're going to have to slowly and carefully feel their way into some sort of trust.
Oh, lovely. It would be Luna who could see past the layers and understand what's really going on inside of Draco.
Gigglesnort- i adore that Luna is making the critters up!

Thanks! Makes me wonder what else we don't know about Luna. Can't wait!
Luna hasn't quite clicked that Draco is teasing her yet... ;)
... and where is he taking her?

If I told you it'd be a spoiler! The new chapter is in queue, it'll be up soon. Hope you like.
Your writing is very evocative, and I love the direction you're taking the characters. I very much anticipate your next update : )
Oooo lovely begining of the story, and puts us right into things. Snape should have realized that Luna will always notice the very thing we're trying to hide, but he was pretty busy that year. Draco may be better off for having found a friend, even if he doesn't recognize her as such yet.
I love Luna/Draco stories. There are so few to be found, I am happy you have undertaken one. I am enjoying the pacing and rythm and look forward to where it goes next.
Luna's simplistic outlook is such a contrast to Draco second-guessing everyone's motives and opinions. They complement each other perfectly! :)
LOL. Draco is so kidding himself. :)
I like the way you have portrayed their very different perspectives on the same incident. :)
Oh, that was a major misunderstanding. I wonder what would come out of it. Hmm. Sorry, I was MIA lately. I still love this story and your take on Luna and Draco very much.
All that talking at cross-purposes, but I guess it achieved a good result in the end. Draco will no doubt have some explaining to do once he figures out she has misunderstood. :)
It seems so cruel to put so much responsibility, on such young shoulders. I'm beginning to worry, about these two tender souls.
Worse than scrubbing cauldrons? Poor Draco. :0
You're showing a lovely tender side to Draco. :)
wow! please keep up the good work - I'm really enjoying your tale. thanks for all your time and effort.
Wow, I can't imagine how painful it must have been for Luna to have her shoulder popped back into place. It's clear that she truly trusted Draco, allowing him to perform the task, though I suppose she had little choice in the matter.
I am also just as curious as Draco about the connection between his and Luna's minds. I look forward to more soon!
