I'm a 29-year-old from the eastern outskirts of Europe who loves reading, languages, her job and has too much time on her hands for her own good.

Great job translating it and my compliments to lad for writing such a fascinating story. Really dealt with such distresssing issues well. The only thing which niggled me a little was Madge`s name. I can't imagine anyone, least of all an actual witch like Hermione, naming a child Magic...
But on the whole I thought it was a fantastic read :)
this is beautiful piece of work!
i liked how grown up Hermione is, but at the same time, so much in cannon character...
and tortured Severus is very well portrayed!
Hope to see something new from you soon ;)
Well, this is positively one of the best things I've read in a long while...
Thank you for translation, it's beautiful.
Loved this a lot. It's sad, but yet bright. It's so very fresh... I am only regretting that I didn't take Russian at school, only am barely able to speak a little... reading would be an impossible challenge. But your translation is great, thanks for doing it.
Wow. Beautiful. Love it.
What a distressing set of circumstances. Ginny is clearly mentally ill and Ron is a bigot. I can't believe he abandons his family (well actually I can) and blames everything on Hermione. What a jerk.
Snape living in the Muggle world after being poorly treated in the Wizarding world seems a likely scenario. It makes sense that despite Snape's and Hermione's past they would be drawn to each other because they are both outcasts.
Thank you for translating Iad's wonderful story. The tenor of the tale is so dark and sad until Hermione goes to talk to Snape and they find that their pasts need not interfere with their being together.
When Hermione goes to his home their conversation is filled with the aching they have both known for years, but little by little they find that they have more in common than the past. I really like the way they become important and dedicated to each other, and the following quote expresses the tender feelings that Severus has for Hermione:
“Why did you sleep with me?” Hermione asks at the door. Her winter coat is left unbuttoned. She is not cold anymore.
“I don’t want to always signify something that you’ve lost. And I don’t want you to stand for what I’ve never had.”
Madge is a fabulous child, and wise beyond her years. I laughed out loud when she told her mum to tell Mister Snape that she understood "it." Hermione's initial reaction is priceless.
Best of all, The Cold and the Dark are gone.
Please tell Iad how much I loved her story, and thank you for translating it!

That was a beautiful tale. I loved it and enjoyed reading it. I was sad that it had come to an end.
I very much enjoyed this story. Please accept my compliments, both for your translation and for the author's original work. Great job. I was completely engrossed from beginning to end.
That was a fantastic story to read. I am glad it was translated. Thank you and the author for sharing.
