ahh soo not cool cliff!! Update update!
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
I am sorry for the delay. The chapters are queued up in TPP and are ready, but I'm at their mercy until they update. The editors here are very meticulous, and they are very careful that every chapter that goes out is as perfect as it can be made, so I am grateful for their attention to detail. All this to say it's there waiting, hopefully it will be updated soon.
HAHAHAA wanna hear whats funny!? Im reading this and that song "did i shave my legs for this" comes on! HAHAH talk about fate!!
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
That is funny! I love that song, and for some reason, it just seemed appropriate for the title. "You mean I was brought back from the dead for THIS?"I hope you continue to enjoy the story.
This is a terrible thing to have happened! It sounds as though McNair has bound her soul, or removed it. I hope there is some way that Severus can share with her the part of her soul that she shared with him. Please find a way to make this all right. This is a very interesting story, and I like how you drive the plot with soul magic. Well done!Beth
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you, Beth. I'm so glad you are enjoying the story. Hopefully, they will upload the last two chapters soon.
What an evil man! I hope that unlike the Avada, the Animam is reversible in some way. And really, what would be the point of killing a soul except to torture Severus Snape, seeing the woman he loves just a shell. Too bad McNair didn't die himself. Azkaban is too good for him. I'm hoping Severus, and you, can fix this...
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
I shall do my best....after all, what good is being the creator of your own fanfic if you can perform miracles for your readers?Seriously, thank you for reading and taking the time to write a review. I hope you will continue to enjoy the story.
Hmmm, Her soul? I'm very curious to see how you pull it all together. Looking forward to the next update.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you for reading. The entire story is now in the queue and hopefully will be uploaded in the next week or so. I hope you will continue to enjoy it.
Did he kill her soul? Severus has part of hers... doesn't he? I can't wait for more!
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Ah, well, there in lies the rub, innit? I promise that I have the entire story queued up, so hopefully you won't have to wait much longer to see. Thank you for reading and reviewing. I hope you continue to enjoy the story.
Even though I am enjoying this story immensly, it was beginning to sound almost too happy for Snape... until now!Animam Kedavra? Does this mean she is in a permanent coma? Please don't make us wait too long.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Weeeeelll, you got to have a little salt with the sugar! I'm very glad you're enjoying the story. It is finished and is queued up in line even as we speak!
What a glorious chapter! I love seeing their first time from Severus' POV, and it's certain that his Hermione has made him a very happy man. It pleases me to know that they have found such sweet magic together. I cant' wait for the next update of your delightful story.Beth
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you, Beth. I really appreciate your warm words. The story is in the queue, so hopefully it won't take too long to update. Happy Holidays!
The last paragraph of this chapter is beautifully written. "I was glad to see her, and our souls, which were incapable of petty things like pride and deceit, touched and knew these things to be true." This sentence in particular made me feel so happy for them.I love the words of the song that Hermione left for Severus, and they expressed exactly how she had come to see her love for him and thought it was hopeless. Thank goodness she couldn't keep herself from going to see him with news of his having been found innocent and his Order of Merlin. When Hermione realized that her Patronus was the Spell Keeper of that part of Severus' soul that she had bound, she very cleverly found a way of returning his soul and his magic to him. I've never read a story with a plot like this one, and I am really enjoying it. Well done! And thank you for sharing it with us.Beth
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you, thank you! I love that song, and from the first moment I thought about Severus Snape. It just seemed that he was so wounded and had used all his negative emotions to hide that wound. It gives me great pleasure giving him a second chance.Thank you again for your wonderful words of encouragement. I hope you will continue to enjoy it.TR
If I looked up angst in the Oxford English Dictionary I'm sure I'd be referred to this chapter. Powerful stuff here, and your Severus and Hermione are very much in character. Even Poppy rings true. The best line in the entire chapter belongs to her: “Well, don't just sit there.” Poppy did a perfect imitation of my trademark sneer. “Snape something.”Go you, TR! Beth

Thank you so much! I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Please check out Sempraseverus' art on deviantArt, and you'll see why I get so inspired. It is so gratifying when someone enjoys your story, and I hope you will continue to. It is finished and in the queue, so hopefully you won't have too long to wait!Happy Holidays, TR
This chapter is an interesting beginning, and I liked the art that inspired it. Thank you for posting the link. There is a little of everything here to interest this reader. I like the combination of humor and longing, and Severus' reaction to hearing from Lily's own lips that she is not for him and he must return to the living was spot on. "I have never felt so bereft, so lost. I had thought death would bring my Lily back to me. All it had brought me was another nightmare."I'm now wondering just what this Spell involves, who cast it, and upon whom it was cast... Off to chapter two now.Beth
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I'm glad you like it. Sempraseverus' art just speaks to me - it's like my second Muse. I always encourage everyone who loves Snape to look at her stuff. It is truly breathtaking. The story is complete and is being uploading as quickly as TPP allows, so look for upcoming chapters. I hope you continue to enjoy the story.
Sweet. You could stop there and it would be suffice. Nicely done.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Weeeelllllll, I could, but we can't let our favourite Snarky Professor have ALL the fun, can we? lolI do have it completed, and I am uploading as quickly as TPP will allow. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy the remainder of the story.
What a lovely chapter! So lovely that he has found the ability to love once again. Am enjoying this from Severus' pov.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you so much - I hope you will continue to enjoy the story!
Hey, there's no more! Things were going along so well for a minute! Glad Hermione figured out the Patronus thing.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
No, actually there are 4 more chapters! This is a complete story and I will upload as quickly at TPP allows. I hope you will continue to enjoy it.
Wow, that was harsh. But so, so Severus. I get the feeling he'll be regretting his words eventually, but how long will that take?
Oh I'm enjoying this very much. I love a sarky, put upon Severus who has to see the error of his ways before he can truly enjoy the fruits of his labours. Very well done. Best wishes, Love Ali xxxx.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you so much! Yes, I love a little snark with my Severus! I hope you will continue to enjoy the story!
Well, he did come to his senses after all. Yeay!I sneaked a peek at the art on your link. It was beautiful and awe inspiring. I usually don't care for the fan-art that goes with stories, but that drawing was excellent. Well composed and graceful. Full of emotion. I am a professional artist. I make pottery, but in my long career I have done everything from pencil drawing to metal sculpture. I am hard to impress, but please let your artist friend know that she managed to impress me!
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you so much for your review! Yes, Sempraseverus is in a class by herself. I love each and everything she does. She is a lovely lady with a true passion for her art and I think it shows.I think the biggest compliment I've had on this story is that is reminded someone of Sempra's art - warm and rough and very much about HIM.I hope you will continue to enjoy the story. It is completed and will be uploaded as quickly as TPP allows.
I love your take on what Lily might say at this crucial point. Thanks for a great start. On to see what he does with his newfound chance.
Poor Severus...he's waited for years to be reunited with Lily, and now has to hear from her own lips that he needs to relinquish that dream. I look forward to seeing where this goes and how he manages to make a new life for himself after the war!
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you for reading the chapter and taking the time to review. I really appreciate it. The story is complete and in 7 chapters and I'll be uploaded as quickly as permitted. I hope you continue to enjoy the story!
That was heartbreaking, but every word of it rang true. He is destined for greatness, he just has to leave Lily behind and show everyone the man he truly is.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you for reading and taking the time to review. I really appreciate your words. I hope you will continue to enjoy the story. It is finished in 7 chapters, so I will upload as quickly as I can.
An intriguing beginning. I'm eager to read more.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you. The story is finished in 7 chapters, so I wil be uploading as quickly as permitted. I hope you continue to enjoy the story.
I'm very curious how this will proceed. If there is a soul-binding at the base of the spell Hermione used, I hope she does not consider giving her live to set him free? He will come around, eventually, won't he?
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing my fic. I am eagerly awaiting TPP to upload the story. It is complete, so I am uploading it as fast as they will allow. TPP is very thorough and they take great pride in checking your work, so you sometimes have to wait a little longer here for work to go through, but it is waiting.
This is absolutely the best line in a story EVER:"“Well, don't just sit there.” Poppy did a perfect imitation of my trademark sneer. “Snape something.”Brilliant ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' BRILLIANT!
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. It's very rewarding to write something you're very happy with, then have someone enjoy it as well! I hope you continue enjoying the story.
Oh dear, what a naughty boy. So far so good. Please write more!!
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Well, a Snape is a Snape, no matter what. I don't think our boy's beyond hope, but you never know...
Response from mimmom (Reviewer)
He has a heart that can love. How he ever managed that I will never know but this is established in canon. My degrees in psychology sometimes drive me a bit nuts with these things. Harry had very little in the way of nurturing. How can he not have reactive attachment disorder is beyond me. Snape at least had a friend by the time he was 9. Still, learning to attach happens in the first 3 years and then you've missed the critical period.I'll shut up now. LOL.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
You go right ahead! It is fascinating to look at these character studies beyond just the realm of the story. I have tried really, really hard to bring redemption to Severus. He's been my favourite character since Book 1, and I wanted him to have the happily ever after JKR so callously denied him.
Response from mimmom (Reviewer)
Yeah, me too.I was fascinated from the start as well. I wasn't an alan rickman fan at all, just liked snape and didn't know who alan rickman was. I later found out and developed some fondness for him as well, but that is TOTALLY separate from my Snape fascination. I knew from the first moment Snape appeared that he was much more than he seemed. By book 5 I knew he loved Lily. I was absolutely convinced of it. I read "Snapes Worst Memory" and just knew it. I thought perhaps I was going mad and then found out lots of other fans thought the same thing. When I came to this conclusion I got a chill up my spine and I walked in something of a daze into my husband's home office and said, "Snape loves Harry's mother!"JKR can be quite mean sometimes. Poor Snape. She put him through so much hell. He was never able to hang on to anything good. Hogwarts was supposed to be a better life for him. Lily was supposed to be a friend. Being a deatheater was supposed to do SOMETHING though who knows what. Then she feeds him to the damned Snake and didn't write him with any sort of prep for that. He'd have had POTIONS on him at the very least. There is even a hint that Hermione didn't buy the whole murder thing when she says that "evil" is a strong word. Anyway, yeah, I'm a potter fan and a snape fan especially. So I read lots of stories that give him a happier ending. Hey, once the book is written we are free to think about it in our own heads and even write stories as long as we don't try to make money or claim the original for our own.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Get out of my head! I actually loved Alan R since Die Hard in the 80's, so when my British hubby told me he was playing Snape I knew I was a goner. I am a voice slut, so he was just the ticket. The woman who did the stunning artwork for this story, Sempraseverus, said that she was angry with JKR, then realised she had opened the door for us as fans to give him a new life, more so than any other character.Besides, no one ever found the body, and his headmaster's portrait never appeared. Hmmmmm......
Response from mimmom (Reviewer)
Yeah, I guess she did leave it kind of open. That's okay, we'll take care of the poor thing.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
Oh, yes. I plan on taking care of him very well!!!
oh no. Poor Severus. My heart breaks for him.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of Spellbreaker)
I know. He has had a rough life. But, hold on...is that a light I see in the tunnel?Thank you for reading and reviewing!
