Hello all, I am a 53 year old from NZ. Although SSHG is how I started and still my main pairing, I'll give pretty much any pairing a try, whether it be reading or writing. Sev and Herms need a bit of variety at times. ;)

Oh, hayfever strikes again, that eternal curse to true love. But I have to wonder... if Amortentia does reveal your true love (very handy, that), one could theoretically go about smelling everyone until you came across the right one, and go for it! This is not so much a critique of your story as it is of JKR's. Seems like Amortentia would be either a controlled substance or a matchmaking tool, if it did what it was said to do... Hmm.

I thought it wasn't something freely available in canon. It's an interesting thought though. Can't you just imagine everyone going around sniffing each other like puppies! Mind you, you'd have to know how to interpret what you smell as well. :)
I'm inclined to wish for the introduction of the magical version of benadryl and let them move forward....

How sad...doesn't he realize just because he's allergic to newly mown grass doesn't mean it can't remind her of him? It could remind her of the scent of a potions ingredient!
